How to determine optimal performance

After selecting the type of device and the features of the engine, you need to pay attention to other important parameters. Different models with the same principle of operation may differ in power, noise level, temperature settings, additional functions

But in order to choose the right air conditioner according to its characteristics, you need to understand how it works. The most common split systems consist of two blocks. Outside there is a compressor, condenser and fan.

Thanks to the compressor, the refrigerant circulates through the tubes, the condenser keeps it in a liquid state. A fan is needed to cool the engine. Thanks to this design, the noise of the engine is not heard in the room, and the heat produced by it is removed to the outside.

The indoor unit is connected to the outer tubular circuit. It consists of an evaporator and a fan. The air passing through the evaporator is cooled and returned to the room.

In addition to cooling, many models of air conditioners perform additional tasks:

  • The heating mode is important in city apartments in the off-season. Air heating allows you to maintain a comfortable temperature when there is no heating and it is cold outside.
  • Dry mode is useful in humid climates. Despite the fact that the air conditioner already reduces the humidity of the air, this function can be useful.
  • The humidification mode is more in demand, since most often people suffer from increased dryness of the air. Such devices are useful for people with allergies, respiratory diseases.
  • When working, it just circulates air. This allows you to maintain a uniform temperature throughout the room. In this mode, only the fan in the indoor unit operates.

Power consumption

The first thing to consider when choosing an air conditioner in terms of parameters is power. It depends on the area of the room where the device will be installed. In a standard city apartment, there should be 1 kW for every 10 square meters.

The following parameters must also be taken into account:

  • The presence of other household appliances in the room;
  • Number of light sources;
  • Number of people;
  • Which side do the windows face?
  • Brick house or block;
  • Ceiling height;
  • window size;
  • What floor is the apartment on.

Given these parameters, you need to choose models with a higher power if the windows face south, if it is an office space with a large number of equipment and people. But conventional split systems have a power of up to 5 kW. With a ceiling height of more than 3 m or a room area of more than 50 m2, several such devices must be installed.

When choosing a multisystem, it is better to entrust the calculation of power to professionals, since many parameters must be taken into account. This is the area of \u200b\u200beach room, their location, attendance. For each indoor unit, the power is calculated separately.

If you needed to purchase a 4 kW air conditioner, this does not mean that it will consume so much electricity. Such a device will consume no more than 1.5-2 kW.

It is necessary to try to accurately select the power. If it is not enough, then the device will quickly fail. And with indicators higher than necessary, a lot of electricity will be consumed.

Calculation of the cooling capacity of the air conditioner

There is a set parameter according to which a device with a power of 1 kW is needed to cool a room with a volume of 30 m3. If we take into account the area of \u200b\u200bthe room, then an air conditioner with a power of 1 kW can cool 10 m2. It is this ratio that is used by many consultants and people who are faced with the choice of a split system. But, this ratio is not an accurate option for calculating the cooling capacity of an air conditioner.If you want to be sure of the correct choice, then you need to accurately calculate the power of the air conditioner, taking into account all factors.

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipment

So, how to calculate the power of a split system, and what factors you should pay attention to:

Where will the unit be installed? Today they are installed in shops, and in offices, and in apartments and other residential and non-residential premises.

If you live in a two-room apartment and want to create comfortable living conditions in it, then it is better to pay attention to a multi-split system, which has blocks with different capacities. If you want to install this technique in the bedroom, then you should not consider the option with a floor-mounted monoblock air conditioner, which makes a lot of noise during operation.

Of course, such a technique can cool the room, but in return you will break the silence, which is simply necessary for relaxation.
When calculating and choosing equipment, it is worth considering its purpose. Most devices can not only cool the room, but also heat it. There are also air conditioners that simply cool the room. The advantage of this technique is its low cost. It is also worth paying attention to other functions of the split system. Some air conditioners work with the air that is inside the room. And there are systems that supply fresh air from the street.
In order to accurately calculate the parameters of a split system, it is necessary to take into account the exact area of \u200b\u200bthe room. Even 1 m2 can affect the effectiveness of the choice. Thus, you can choose a split system according to the area of \u200b\u200bthe apartment.
The efficiency of the air conditioner is also affected by the number of rooms in an apartment or store.There are some systems that can serve several rooms at the same time. Such equipment includes multi-split systems that are installed on walls, as well as industrial air conditioners, the main feature of which is high cooling performance.

The presence of certain equipment that releases thermal energy during operation. Such appliances include a stove, a computer, an electric kettle and others. The presence of additional heat sources leads to an increase in cooling capacity. Thus, an increase in the productivity of the unit compensates for the availability of sources of thermal energy.
Particular attention should be paid to windows. A large role in cooling the room is played by the number of windows, their size, as well as which side they face. This factor is especially worth considering when ordinary wooden windows without double-glazed windows are installed in the room. Eyes are the main structure through which heat enters the room. Therefore, when calculating, it is necessary to take into account everything related to windows.
The number of people living in the room. The human body emits close to 100 watts. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account this factor in order to compensate for this source of thermal energy.

Knowing all these factors, you can accurately calculate the performance of this technique, and choose the best option for yourself.

Varieties of climatic equipment

It is important to correctly determine the temperature level. Today, manufacturers offer to order two variations: medium-temperature and low-temperature split systems

Each of them has its own purpose, as well as a number of features.

Features of medium temperature units

The main task of this class is to maintain the room temperature in the range from +10 to -5 degrees Celsius. Typically, medium temperature air conditioners are used to cool food. For example, such systems can be found in wine cellars.

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipmentRefrigeration equipment of a medium temperature type is used by the owners of flower shops. The ability to maintain the set temperature in auto mode allows you to preserve the beauty of freshly cut flowers and flower arrangements for a long time.

Devices of this type are divided into three subcategories:

  • the first - can lower the temperature down to -5 degrees;
  • the second - supports + 10;
  • the third - cools the room to zero.

As for the functionality, medium-temperature split systems are equipped with an electric defrosting system, and can also automatically maintain the temperature set by the user.

Pros and cons of low temperature air conditioners

Low temperature refrigeration units are purchased for freezers. They help to freeze any food and maintain the temperature in the range from -5 to -35 degrees Celsius.

A standard low temperature split system consists of two components: a condensing unit and an evaporator. Their body is most often made of stainless steel, which is coated with a layer of polymer for additional protection.

Some models are equipped with a shock freezing function. In this case, the temperature in the freezer drops sharply down to -45 degrees Celsius. It helps to save in products all nutrients and nutrients

Speaking about the advantages of the air conditioners presented above, it should be especially highlighted:

  • compactness - a well-thought-out design allows you to save space inside the refrigerator;
  • efficiency - manufacturers managed to achieve high device performance with the lowest possible power consumption;
  • noiselessness - low-temperature split-systems emit a sound no higher than 40-50 dB during operation. Therefore, they can be installed without problems even in residential buildings;
  • safety - devices have a built-in alarm system.

The complete set of freezing air conditioners usually includes a compressor of a scroll, screw or piston type, two types of filters (dryer and suction), a condenser, a pressure switch, a liquid receiver.

Also in the box may be solenoid or thermostatic valves, as well as one or more air coolers.

Device and principle of operation

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipment

The principle of operation of an air conditioner is almost the same as a refrigerator. The difference lies only in the specifics of the work. If refrigerators cool food, then air conditioners lower the air temperature in flow mode. This allows to significantly reduce the size of the structure, making it possible to use one condensing unit in conjunction with several evaporators.

The working circuit is a closed system, inside which the refrigerant (freon) circulates. It successively goes through the stages of condensation, during which a large amount of heat is released, and evaporation with the active selection of thermal energy from the surrounding space. The condensation block is usually located outside. In it, with the help of a compressor, high pressure is created, which contributes to the condensation of freon.

The liquid refrigerant passes into the evaporator, where there is a sharp increase in volume and active evaporation. After that, the gaseous agent enters the compressor again, is compressed, and the cycle is repeated. In the evaporator through a cold radiator with the help of a fan, a stream of air is passed, which gives off its heat and is cooled. The operation of the system is controlled by an electronic unit.

The user sets the desired room temperature. As soon as it increases by 1-2° from the set value, the system starts up. Upon reaching the benchmarks, work stops.

Types of indoor units

Indoor units are divided by design into wall, ceiling, wall-ceiling, floor, channel. The most widespread are wall blocks, among which it is much easier to find the right model according to technical characteristics. The remaining options are used, as a rule, involuntarily, when for some reason wall mounting is not possible.

Let's highlight the duct indoor units, which have the advantage that the indoor unit is retracted into the air duct channel and does not spoil the interior with its appearance (only the outlet air duct grille is visible).

However, in recent years, manufacturers have begun to pay more attention to the design of indoor units. Elegant models with thoughtful design appeared, such as LG's Artcool Mirror and Artcool Gallery series, Mitsubishi Electric's Premium series in various colors, special cartoon line for children and other options.

What body material is best?

When choosing a model of climatic equipment, you should pay attention to the material from which its body is made.

The condenser-compression type unit faces the outdoors, so it is very important that operation in such conditions is not disturbed by external influences. The most common models are:

The most common models are:

  • plastic;
  • metal.

Metal cases are considered the strongest, most reliable in use. Experts recommend giving preference to metal. As for the indoor unit, it is mainly made of high quality plastic. When choosing a model, it is necessary to take into account how resistant the material is to sunlight.

Advice from a work specialist

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipment

When a do-it-yourself refrigerator is being made, the next step is to seal the insulation joints using aluminum-based adhesive tape. Using self-tapping screws, it will be necessary to fasten the inside and outside of the wall cladding. In this case, you can use plywood, or OSB. If you decide to use plywood sheets, then you need to purchase those that have a thickness of 10 millimeters. The floor, if you want to make an ideal design, must also be insulated. To equip this part of the chamber, you need to cover the floor surface with plywood, the thickness of which should be as large as possible. Whereas a steel sheet is laid on top. When a refrigerator is made with your own hands, it is advisable not to save money, if you decide not to do this, then the floor of the system can be covered with a steel sheet, the thickness of which is 1 millimeter. Such manipulations will save the surface if the kegs move, because they can damage the plywood sheathing.

How to choose quality equipment for your business

When choosing equipment, you need to take into account all the nuances:

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipment

  • what is the purpose of the system (freezing or storing food);
  • the amount of cooled products;
  • the volume of the cooled chamber;
  • installation location of the second unit (be sure to take into account the need for the system to work in winter);
  • the location of the first block inside the chamber;
  • what additional features are needed;
  • Do I need a separate remote control panel for monitoring the status of equipment and temperatures.

Before buying, you should familiarize yourself with the offers on the market, with the rating of companies producing systems, and consumer reviews.

It's a good idea to compare the operation of a split system with the operation of other similar devices (freezers and refrigerators, chambers) to make sure that this is the equipment you need to buy.

You need to know that many companies offer individual assembly according to the parameters required by the customer.

Split system care tips

In 75% of cases of serious failures in the operation of climate technology, the cause is the failure to follow simple elementary rules of care and operation.

Here are some common tips on what to do and what not to do with any model of air conditioner to achieve trouble-free and efficient operation.

As with any powerful electrical appliance, it is recommended to run a separate power line with protection from the electrical panel to the air conditioner, and follow the basic safety rules:

  • do not disassemble or repair the device yourself;
  • in the event of a short circuit and a malfunction, it is necessary to turn off the unit and call the wizard;
  • do not touch the device connected to the network with wet hands;
  • If you need to disconnect the device from the network, you must first stop its operation using the remote control, and only then unplug the cord from the outlet.

You can read more about how to properly connect the air conditioner to the network in this material.

In addition, it is strictly forbidden to allow children to operate the air conditioner, and to poke objects into the split-system grate.

Competent maintenance of a split system includes ongoing work that can be done independently, and more complex ones, the implementation of which is best entrusted to qualified craftsmen.

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipmentThe coarse filter traps large particles of dirt (up to 2 microns), thereby protecting the working elements of the indoor unit, so when buying a device, you should check its quality

Cleaning the coarse filter is a fairly simple operation. Removing the plastic mesh and washing it with soapy water once every two weeks is much easier than reaping the rewards of your laziness.

With poor-quality or irregular cleaning, the accumulated dust will clog the filters and, as a result, hinder the movement of air:

  • the cooling rate drops;
  • favorable soil is created for the spread of microbes;
  • electricity consumption and the amount in receipts increase;
  • there is a risk of clogging the drainage system;
  • there is a risk of compressor failure.

Cleaning the fan of the indoor and outdoor units, checking the freon level is, of course, carried out by a specialist, since this requires partial or complete disassembly. Also, refueling with freon should be carried out by specialists.

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipmentA new function of the split system has appeared - self-cleaning. It lies in the fact that by drying and heating for half an hour, moisture, unpleasant odors are removed, and mold is prevented.

Thus, in order for the split system to please with long and uninterrupted operation, it is necessary to follow the recommendations of experienced craftsmen for the operation of air conditioners and their care.

And also: take seriously the choice of a device with a power suitable for the room, choose the right location for installation, choose the temperature wisely, use the device carefully in the winter, and perform maintenance in a timely manner.

The relevance of the "double" split system

In the private sector, there is usually no problem with installing several appliances for different rooms. But if the owner does not want to spoil the facade with several bulky boxes, it also makes sense to consider a multi-split.

Business-class high-rise buildings are equipped with centralized systems, so the issue of air conditioning for a single apartment is removed. In other cases, the installation of climatic equipment must comply with certain rules.

The dimensions of the installed suspended units, for example, channel or cassette systems, are limited by the height of the ceilings. A quota has also been set for the total energy consumption in the apartment, which regulates the power of the supplied electricity. But most of the rules apply to external blocks.

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipmentIn Europe, outdoor units have long been mounted on roofs or brought to the inside of the courtyard, which preserves the aesthetics of the facades.

On the facade and on the outside of some buildings, the installation of climate control equipment is prohibited by law or individual operating rules. But residents are offered allocated places for such purposes on the balcony, roof, technical floor, in special niches.

On small sites, square meters are not enough.One apartment is usually allocated only one place measuring about 60 cm by 1.5 m. The most appropriate solution in this case would be to install a simplified multi-split system.

Refrigerators. Purpose and areas of use

But, like any other equipment, industrial refrigeration chambers differ in purpose, which must be taken into account when choosing refrigeration equipment.

Refrigerators for cooling and freezing

This type of chambers are designed for freezing and strong cooling of various fresh food products (meat, fish, etc.), as well as semi-finished food products, fruits and vegetables. Such chambers usually operate in a cyclic mode, depending on the loading and unloading of products from them.
The temperature regime in industrial chambers of this type is maintained in the range from -25 °С to -40 °С. Depending on the set temperature, the time for complete freezing of products is from 3 to 24 hours.

Refrigerated storage rooms

These chambers are most often used to store medicines, flowers, wines and other products that cannot be stored at too low temperatures. For example, cold storage rooms are ideal for ripening bananas. Depending on the purpose for which the refrigerated storage room will be used, the temperature regime in it is maintained in the range from + 14 ° С to - 150 ° С

Blast freezer

These chambers are designed for intensive, or, as they say, shock freezing of products, which occurs within 1-1.5 hours. Such speed of freezing allows to keep the best quality of the frozen production, and also its appearance. As a general rule, food frozen in a blast chiller lasts three times longer than food frozen in a conventional freezer.

Power consumption and cooling capacity

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipmentpossible heat gains

Power consumption - electricity consumption per unit of time (also in kW). The consumed energy is spent on the removal of a certain amount of heat from the room to the outside. The value of the cooling capacity is usually several times higher than the power consumption, precisely because the heat is not absorbed by the device, but is removed to the street.

Through the total ratio of these two values, one can judge the energy efficiency (EER) of an air conditioner, that is, its economy in terms of energy consumption. Manufacturers distinguish seven classes of energy efficiency, among which the most profitable equipment is considered to be devices corresponding to class A. They spend the least energy on their work. An important indicator in this case will be consumption per year.

As already mentioned, this value has two designations: BTU (BTU) and kW. The first is the British thermal unit, corresponding to 0.293 watts. In the labeling, different brands denote this characteristic in different ways. Usually, the nominal power values in BTU are multiples of 1000. If the numbers 7 (07), 9 (09), 12, 18 and so on are found in the marking code or in the technical documentation, then these are the nominal power values, where 7 \u003d 7000 BTU, 9=9000 BTU and so on. Experts, respectively, call them "seven", "nine", "dvenashka", "eighteenth".

How to determine the power and type of indoor unit

As for the split systems, they can connect several internal ones to one external unit. Such multi-split systems seem ideal for a private house with a large area. However, installers recommend purchasing separate pairs. So if the external unit fails at the height of summer, the house will not turn into a greenhouse. Yes, and in the calculations it turns out economically feasible. But there is no consensus on this issue, so decide for yourself.

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipment

Of all the types of indoor units in apartments, a wall-mounted split system is more often installed. This look is both practical and aesthetic. A wide choice of design allows you to choose a model for the interior and style of the room. The next most popular type is floor-ceiling. They can be attached either to the ceiling or to the wall below. They also harmoniously fit into the interior, but provide better air circulation. Floor varieties (in particular, columned ones) are of little demand in domestic air conditioning, as they have high power and clutter up the room.Although for a spacious country house hotel, this option may be ideal. Floor and cassette air conditioners can only be installed with suspended ceilings. At the same time, the entire cassette-type structure is out of sight, and cool air is blown in four directions. However, these types of split systems cannot be called budgetary, which is why they are less popular.

The most responsible and difficult thing is to choose the optimal power of the device. Here, many people have a dilemma: how to cool a large area without spending money on a powerful air conditioner?

They come to me with this conclusion:

- We have a room of 16 square meters. meters, but we want to take the air conditioner a little more powerful, so that there is enough for the kitchen and the hallway.

I answer accordingly:

- Not! A little more powerful won't work. If you want to cool the whole apartment - take a device of the appropriate power. Without compromise. There are simply no other options. Saving on power over time will result in increased wear and quick breakdown.

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipment

When calculating the required power, it is necessary to analyze the following parameters:

  1. room area and ceiling height;
  2. the maximum number of people in the room during the operation of the device;
  3. the presence of heating appliances (this is especially taken into account if the installation is planned in the kitchen);
  4. the number and size of windows and their orientation to the cardinal points (in a room with a window to the southeast it is always hotter than in a room with "northern" windows);
  5. the floor on which the apartment is located (as a rule, the higher the floor, the hotter it is in the apartment due to hot air from the roof and asphalt).
Read also:  How the Tver septic tank is installed: an overview of the installation technology

To choose the right model for the area of the room, you need to multiply the performance (the number indicated in the model abbreviation: 7, 9, 12, etc. up to 30) by 3. As a result, you get the maximum area that a particular split system can cool without overheating. For example, you can easily calculate how many squares a split system 12 is designed for. Its performance should be enough for 36 square meters. meters, if there are no "aggravating circumstances" from the list above. Self-calculation is convenient for a standard apartment. If you want to take into account all the nuances, then contact the professionals who will multiply the base figure by various correction factors.

Do not take a large margin for performance. For example, buying a split system 9 by 18 sq. meters, and not as much as how many squares it is designed for, you force the compressor to turn off / on often, which increases wear and reduces service life. Nine is set on an area from 21 to 27 squares.

Split system for a refrigerator: types + nuances of calculation and selection of the necessary equipment

“Well, which one is better to choose a split system?” - you ask. A rating with a detailed description of popular models will be in the next publication, but for now I can only advise you to take into account all the above recommendations. Of course, the best is often just not on the wallet. But even at an affordable price, you can buy high-quality equipment that will last for many years without contacting a service center. Just do not choose a split system, like an electric kettle. This is more serious equipment and requires a competent approach.

Also remember that it is not enough to choose a quality model - you also need to install it correctly.Read how this is done according to the rules and what steps should be in order to control the arriving team of installers and, if necessary, ask competent questions. After all, unscrupulous workers can neglect some steps in order to save time, which will subsequently adversely affect the operation of the air conditioner. If you buy a split system in household appliances supermarkets (where prices will be lower), then refuse their installation services and conclude a contract with a specialized company.

What is a split system

A split system is an air conditioner divided into two units, indoor and outdoor, which are connected by a copper piping for the refrigerant supply. This design is a good compromise between inexpensive monoblock air conditioners and highly efficient multi-split systems. On the one hand, the split system is devoid of the disadvantages typical for monoblock air conditioners, namely, low efficiency and high noise level during operation (the noisy compressor is moved outside the living quarters). On the other hand, the cost of split systems is much lower than that of multi-split systems close to them in terms of efficiency, in which several indoor units are connected to one outdoor unit.

Choosing an air conditioner by power

Split systems and other types of cooling units are available in the form of model ranges with products of standard performance - 2.1, 2.6, 3.5 kW and so on. Some manufacturers indicate the power of models in thousands of British Thermal Units (kBTU) - 07, 09, 12, 18, etc. The correspondence of climate control units expressed in kilowatts and BTU is shown in the table.

Knowing the required performance in kilowatts and imperial units, select a split system in accordance with the recommendations:

  1. The optimal power of a household air conditioner lies in the range of -5 ... + 15% of the calculated value.
  2. It is better to give a small margin and round the result upwards - to the nearest product in the model range.
  3. If the cooling capacity determined by the calculation exceeds the power of the cooler from the standard series by a hundredth of a kilowatt, it should not be rounded up.

Example. The calculation result is 2.13 kW, the first model in the row develops a cooling capacity of 2.1 kW, the second one - 2.6 kW. We choose option No. 1 - an air conditioner for 2.1 kW, which corresponds to 7 kBTU.

Second example. In the previous section, we calculated the performance of the unit for an apartment - studio - 3.08 kW and fell between modifications of 2.6-3.5 kW. We choose a split system with a higher performance (3.5 kW or 12 kBTU), since a rollback to a smaller one will not fit into 5%.

The vast majority of climate systems are capable of operating in 2 modes - cooling and heating during the cold season. Moreover, the heat performance is higher, since the compressor motor, which consumes electricity, additionally heats the freon circuit. The power difference between cooling and heating is shown in the table above.

Split system is

Split system - air conditioning, air conditioning system, consisting of two blocks: external (compressor-condensing unit) and internal (evaporative). The outdoor unit is mounted outside the air-conditioned room. The indoor unit is mounted inside the air-conditioned room or in the ventilation system of the building. The blocks are connected to each other by heat-insulated copper pipes.

A characteristic feature of a split system is the possibility of not only cooling the air, but also heating it.The compressor of the device may start moving the air masses in the opposite direction, in case of switching the operating mode.

General recommendations for selection

You have calculated the power of the future air conditioner, it remains to choose the type of unit. Our advice: start right away by choosing the option of a separate split system. This is the best solution for any housing - an apartment or a private house.

In what cases should monoblocks be considered:

  1. If you live in an apartment building located on one of the central avenues of the city. Local authorities probably prohibit hanging the facades of such buildings with air conditioning units.
  2. With frequent moves from one rented apartment to another. Dismantling / installing a split in a new place will cost a pretty penny.
  3. When you want to save money, and the desire coincided with the moment of ordering metal-plastic windows. The factory will make a beautiful opening for the cooler housing. Upgrade the wooden frame yourself.
  4. An air conditioner is needed for the dacha where the owners live in the summer. The apparatus is taken away for the winter.
  5. The budget does not allow you to purchase 2-3 split systems in a country house, but you are ready to make plastic inserts for an air duct for three windows. Then do not hesitate to take the mobile version.

Tip two: when choosing a “split”, immediately cut off models cheaper than $300. Products located below the specified threshold will also cool the air properly, but they can surprise:

  • increased consumption of electricity;
  • discrepancy between the real power and the declared parameters; in the heat, the cooler cannot cope;
  • beautiful white plastic housing quickly turns yellow;
  • the street module rumbles strongly, annoying you and your neighbors;
  • unexpected breakdowns after 3-5 years of operation, slow loss of freon.

Maintenance and care

Maintenance of split systems consists in cleaning from all types of contaminants. All problems that arise during the operation of air conditioners are created by dirt, clogged filters and other extraneous deposits on working surfaces. The basic care rules are set out in the user manual, which must be carefully studied before using the kit.

It is necessary to clean the evaporator heat exchanger (indoor unit) once a year. Its plates are clogged with dust, which must be removed with a vacuum cleaner or a long brush. Filters should be cleaned monthly, when water drops appear from the evaporator, turn off the device and call a technician from the service center.

Do you already have a split system in your house?

Of course! No, but it will be!

Forms and types of devices

Choosing an air conditioner can be tricky because there are several types of air conditioners. All household are divided into monoblock and two-block or split systems. The choice of the type of device depends on the characteristics and size of the room, the purpose of use and the possibility of installation.

Monoblock by type of installation are divided into mobile and window. Their advantage is ease of installation and low cost. But they have disadvantages: they produce a lot of noise and have low performance.

A split system is a design of two blocks. External is installed on the street, it contains a compressor and a condenser. The indoor unit in the room serves for cooling and is connected to the outdoor pipes. Such systems are wall, ceiling or channel. A multi-system is allocated to a separate group - such a device will be required for a large apartment or house.

Mobile devices

Mobile outdoor appliances are suitable for small apartments. Their advantage is that there is no need to punch a hole in the wall, no installation work is required. Such an air conditioner is a rectangular device on wheels with a flexible air duct up to one and a half meters long. It can be displayed in the window or on the balcony.
