As the content of the septic tank is processed, it decomposes into partially purified water, neutral sludge and non-biodegradable waste.

Water, as necessary, is discharged through a drainage pipe into an absorbing well or into a filtration field, and other contents are removed using a sludge pump. If the volume of the septic tank is calculated correctly, then the call of the vacuum trucks and the cleaning procedure can be carried out only once a year.

If we are talking about a two- or three-chamber septic tank, then the sections in such a device are separated by sealed walls, so the contents of different departments do not mix.

Another interesting addition to the Krot septic tank is the so-called composting module or K-module.It is installed in the first chamber of the vertical models of the septic tank and serves to collect the insoluble part of the effluent, which can later be composted, i.e. use as a fertilizer.

The contents of the K-module must be removed periodically and buried in the ground, where this waste will be processed in a natural way. The K-module is produced as two separate sections for 29 and 50 liters or as one large container with a volume of 150 liters. In the first case, the K-module should be removed and washed out of the hose by hand.

The large K-module does not need to be removed from the septic tank for cleaning. Its contents are pumped out with a pump, there is no need for washing. If the septic tank is used by a family of three to four people, the K-module should be cleaned approximately once every three months.
