For me, of course, it is not a country house, since we live in a private house outside the city and in our area there has never even been a hint of a full-fledged sewer. In this regard, we decided to make just such a temporary budget option. After all, all the amenities in the house are present, and the old pit fell into disrepair this summer, when we are in full swing construction and we simply did not have enough funds for the rings for a full-fledged septic tank. Oh well, I think a tire septic tank will last me two years. Although they write that they are suitable for up to 15 years!
For the arrangement, we needed the following materials

- crushed stone or any brick battle;
- sealant, we took bituminous.

At the beginning of the work, two holes were dug. We figured out the dimensions by simply putting the tire in place of the future pit. The depth we got was more than two meters, but this also depends on the width of the selected tires. We did not take strict measurements, just tried on by eye. The pits turned out to be even square in shape. The next step was to prepare the tires for installation. This is, I will say, the most difficult! Cutting a tire with metal veins is very difficult. The holes for the pipe somehow my husband sawed out with a jigsaw with a nozzle for metal. But then it was necessary to cut off the top of almost all the tires so that the contents of the pit would not melt inside. But we did not do this, it is too laborious.The husband decided that it was easier to cut square holes - and everything would go away without difficulty.

When the tires were ready, we proceeded to the installation. They covered the bottom of one and the second pit with bricks and rubble. This served as a kind of drainage for us. In general, ideally cement the bottom, but we don’t do it forever, so we decided to skip this step.
Next, the husband installed one tire on top of the other, generously smearing sealant between them. When all the tires were installed, we proceeded to backfill the gaps between the walls of the pit and the tires. For this, we also used brick battle, clay and earth that remained from the excavations.
Of course, one day I had to refrain from using the bathroom and toilet, since this was done in the summer and we have a summer shower and toilet. At the moment, the septic tank is five months old, I have water from the bath, sink, toilet, washing machine and kitchen sink drained into it. And what can I say ... for a family of three it is quite roomy.
The pits are interconnected by a pipe, that is, it flows into one - overflows into another. In the main one, which receives liquid from the other, a drainage-fecal pump is installed, which, as it fills up, pumps out the liquid and empties the pits. Fortunately, there is where to pump out ...

In principle, such a simple and budgetary arrangement of a septic tank, I believe, can solve the problem of country amenities. Maybe someone will benefit from my story.
Location selection
The design for a summer residence or a private country house made of tires will never be absolutely tight. Therefore, you can create such a well with your own hands only on clay soils. After all, such soil on the site has a low conductivity coefficient.Consequently, in case of leakage, the drains will not penetrate into the primer and will not cause contamination of drinking water. Also, the clay will not allow the structure to silt, and the soil around the septic tank will not “smell” after a few months of use.

The second point to consider is the type of septic tank. Autonomous sewerage in a country house or in a country house can be accumulative or overflow. Such structures can be mounted with your own hands. Septic tanks produced at the plant have deeper levels of wastewater treatment. The storage tank consists of one chamber and requires frequent pumping.

When using it as a "cesspool", the number of calls to sewage equipment can be reduced by using special bioactivators. The preparations contain chemical and biological reagents that turn wastewater into cloudy water and carbon dioxide. The amount of solid sediment is reduced.
The third and final point. Such sewerage requires large volumes. Therefore, it is better to look for a few tires from heavy equipment than to take 5-6 small car tires. But even in this case, the capacity is enough for a small cottage with one or two residents. In the case of a private house, a well of concrete rings is required at least.
System installation features
Having chosen a place for the structure, you need to decide on its volume. It is generally considered that it should be equal to at least three times the size of daily flows. Based on this, the approximate depth of the structure is calculated. Most often, it is equal to the height of 5-7 tires.
Considering that tires can be very different, both from passenger cars and from powerful agricultural machinery, the volume of construction also varies.

Work is being carried out in stages:
Markup. The tire intended for the first well is taken and laid on the ground. It marks the dimensions of the future well. At some distance, a tire is laid, intended for the second container. It may be of a larger diameter, since the volume of the second well must be larger. It is also labeled. Then a hole of the required size is dug for both containers.
Arrangement of the bottom of wells. It should not let impurities into the ground. The surface can be concreted or equipped with a so-called "clay plug", 20-25 cm wide.
Tire preparation. In each of the tires, using an electric jigsaw, the upper part is carefully removed. After installation, such parts form a well with more even walls, which will prevent sewage from lingering on them.
Tire installation. The tires are stacked one on top of the other. At the same time, for the strength of the connection, they can be pierced in pairs and tied with wire. Each joint and seam is carefully coated with sealant. Between the wells at a height of approximately 2/3 from the bottom, a transition pipe should be inserted, under which a hole is cut. In the upper part of the first well, a hole is also cut out for a sewer pipe stretched from the house.
Laying pipes between wells. For these purposes, an ordinary plastic sewer pipe is suitable.A structure is also inserted and fixed inside the hole, supplying drains from the house.
Filling the pit. For these purposes, you can use sand or soil that was taken out when digging a hole.
The operation is carried out carefully so as not to damage the integrity of the structure.
Cover arrangement. Wells must be closed with lids, it is desirable that the material from which they are made does not rot.

The main advantage of this option is low cost and ease of installation. There are, however, also disadvantages:
- A small amount of wastewater that she can recycle.
- A rather high risk of contamination of the soil with sewage, since it is difficult to achieve complete tightness from tires.
Also, if you are going to equip such a septic tank from tires with your own hands, you need to understand that the structure belongs to the class of storage septic tanks, therefore, it requires pumping out the accumulated liquid.
Some owners of suburban buildings are attempting to equip a full-fledged three-chamber septic tank from tires. However, it is worth noting that although technically it is quite possible, tires are not the best material for such structures. It is unlikely that it will be possible to provide the tightness necessary for the effective operation of the septic tank. In addition, interconnected tires can gradually move as a result of seasonal temperature fluctuations in the soil, which further violates the tightness of each chamber. As a septic tank, the tire construction serves very well, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of civilization even far from the city.

For the construction of such a structure, it is necessary to find several used tires of heavy vehicles or tractors. Then dig a hole to a certain depth, which should be slightly wider than the diameter of the tires.
Further, it is recommended to treat the joints of the tires with a waterproofing compound outside and inside. Bitumen-based materials are best suited for this. It is not necessary to cover the seams with a solution of cement and sand, since the device will not have a rigid shape, and the mixture will fall out of the cracks.

Outside, it is desirable to wrap the resulting container with roofing felt and glue it with hot bitumen. Then, the hole must be covered with earth or a mixture of sand and gravel. If possible, then the same mixture should be laid on the bottom of the pit with a thickness of about one meter. This will be a natural kind of filter that will slightly reduce soil pollution. For the top tire, you need to make and install a hatch.
Before filling the pit with soil, an inlet pipe from the house with a diameter of 100 millimeters should be installed in it. In order to make a hole in the tire for the pipe, it will be necessary to show ingenuity and ingenuity. To do this, you can use a grinder and a large sharp knife. Tires, especially tractor tires, are very durable.

The cesspool should have a convenient passage for the sewer truck, because periodically, as it fills up, it will be necessary to remove waste from it. Every year this procedure will need to be done more and more often.

Cesspool with overflow
To reduce the frequency of pumping out sewage and waste, a cesspool with overflow is used. It consists of two parts. A pipe should go out of the first container into the second part of the pit, or you need to make holes in the wall of the first. When the first part of the cesspool is full, the wastewater will go to the next part of the device.
The second part of the pit is best made from old brick, which will be much cheaper than new products. And instead of holes for draining water in the wall, you can not put a brick in certain places, that is, arrange it in a checkerboard pattern. The bottom of the second container should be made of a layer of sand and gravel, which will be an additional filter.
For permanent residence in a private house or in the country, such a hole should not be made. If the stay of people in the house is temporary or seasonal, then a similar version of a cesspool made of tires will cope with the task of removing sewage and waste. The cost of such a device is much less than the construction of a septic tank from concrete rings and bricks.
A cesspool from old vehicle tires has many disadvantages:
- short service life due to rapid filling, no more than 10 years;
- unpleasant odors on the site of a country house or cottage;
- the tightness of the tire tank will not last long, as a result, the site will be contaminated with harmful substances that will enter the soil;
- difficulties in repair and the impossibility of dismantling will lead to the fact that over time a similar sewage system or a new, more advanced device will have to be done elsewhere.
A tire cesspool is relatively cheap compared to other sewer systems. This is its only advantage, and the disadvantages will not create comfortable living conditions for people. It is better to spend money on a modern septic tank with biological wastewater treatment once than to redo a cesspool in the future.
