Septic tank for giving "topas": overview, principle of operation, device, scheme, advantages and disadvantages

Existing types and features of septic tanks

Before proceeding to a discussion of the correct choice of a treatment structure, it is worth mentioning what they are. Let's start by dividing them into three groups.

Table. Cleaning groups.

View Description
Drives

The main function of such devices is the collection and accumulation of wastewater. The container simply stores them in itself until the moment the vacuum truck arrives. These containers can be made from a variety of materials. They are inexpensive, easy to maintain, and, in fact, they don’t need anything else, except for calling vacuum trucks. Once the container has accumulated, it will no longer be able to perform its functions, so it needs to be cleaned regularly, and this is expensive. As such, water purification does not occur in it.
It is best if the capacity of such a device is such as to accommodate at least 10 cubic meters of wastewater. This option is suitable for use in the country, provided that few people live there during the summer. The fewer drains, the less often you have to call the sewers.

Settling tanks

Such structures operate without a power source and are 2, 3 or 4 tanks connected in series, in which water goes through several stages of purification. We described a similar design just in the section "How a septic tank works." The purification process takes a long time, but at the output you can get almost 100% purified water. Such devices are durable, not dangerous for the environment, but they are quite expensive and need regular maintenance. Vacuum trucks for such a treatment plant will rarely have to be called, since the containers almost do not accumulate water in themselves. But it cannot be installed where groundwater is very close.

Aeration

These are the most modern devices for wastewater treatment, the work of which is based not only on the processes of settling, but also on the process of aeration and the work of microorganisms. But purified water is quite suitable to be used for watering plants, and even you can simply pour it into a roadside ditch without fear of harming nature. Such devices consume electricity to operate, so they will not be efficient enough if there is any problem with this power supply. Such installations are expensive and require a careful and qualified attitude.

Aeration septic tank

Also, septic tanks can be divided into volatile and non-volatile.The former, although they consume a small amount of energy, still consume it and lose their efficiency when the electricity is turned off. These are aerators and devices that have compressors and pumps. The degree of water purification in them is as high as possible. The second - non-volatile - are best suited for those conditions where there are power outages in the areas. They are also suitable for people who do not want to spend money on paying for electricity. These are reservoirs and sedimentation tanks.

Having considered the positive and negative sides of the septic tank, you can decide whether this option is suitable for a particular cottage or cottage. Moreover, this option is very profitable, given the capabilities of the treatment plant and its price. Also, it is very convenient that this equipment does not require frequent maintenance and the purchase of expensive bacteria. All aerobes in the bioreactor are born and work by themselves thanks to the intake of clean air.

The previous article was devoted to the features, and today we will tell you how to maintain a bioxi septic tank that uses aerobic bacteria and oxygen, but the output is 98% pure water. It produces deep cleaning, so it can be used in country houses, in villages and gas stations, in food enterprises, as well as in facilities where a large volume of wastewater is required to be treated."Bioxi" is a system that is adapted to the conditions of our country, after which it was sent for testing to several different laboratories and research institutes, so this system is effective and absolutely safe for you, your children, animals and the environment. In addition to the fact that Bioksi has a high degree of purification, it neutralizes odors, and it can be cleaned without a cesspool machine. Up to three months, such a system can do without sewage, which means it is convenient to install it in a house where you will not live permanently - and you don’t even have to buy additional bacteria for this. In addition, Bioxi does not take up much space and can also work without filter fields.

The principle of operation of the device

Eco-Grand septic tanks, like other treatment facilities of this type, operate using the principles of biological treatment. It is carried out by introducing into the sewer tank a colony of bacterial cultures specially selected for this purpose.

Eco-Grand septic tanks use varieties of aerobic bacteria. For the functioning of these organisms, constant access to air is necessary, unlike anaerobic cultures, which can live and develop even in conditions of complete tightness. Microorganisms working in septic tanks are sensitive to the contents of drains.

Overview of the Bioxi septic tank: device, advantages and disadvantages + what to look for before buyingThe model range of septic tanks of the Eco-Grand brand provides an opportunity to choose a design for supplying sewer pipes to it at different depths

The number of bacteria can be affected by aggressive technical fluids, mold, chlorine-containing substances, etc. This point should be taken into account even before the start of the septic tank.

The vital activity of aerobic bacteria is also accompanied by the release of a certain amount of heat, which additionally protects the device from hypothermia during the winter cold.

As already mentioned, the device is divided into four main sections. First, the effluents enter the receiving chamber, where they are intensively saturated with air and come into contact with bacterial cultures.

Active aeration is performed using compressors and allows you to immediately solve several problems:

  • creates a favorable environment for the successful life of aerobic bacteria, which improves the quality and speed of wastewater processing;
  • crushes incoming contaminants, making the contents of the working environment more homogeneous;
  • allows you to separate from the total mass of wastewater and bring to the surface part of the non-recyclable inclusions.

Under the influence of bacterial cultures, an active release of sludge begins, which at the initial stage remains in the water in the form of suspended particles. After that, the airlift moves the prepared effluents to the second compartment - the aerotank - to continue their processing. Here, the silty content is formed at a more active rate.

Overview of the Bioxi septic tank: device, advantages and disadvantages + what to look for before buyingTo drain purified water from the Eco-Grand septic tank, a filtration field or well should be created. Water can be used to water the site or fill an ornamental pond

To drain purified water from the Eco-Grand installation, a filtration field or a filter well should be created. Water can be used to water the site or fill an ornamental pond. At the same time, aeration of the working fluid continues.

With the help of another airlift, the wastewater treated with bacteria enters the third compartment, which is called the sump. As the name implies, the working fluid is here for some time so that the sludge contained in it accumulates below in the form of sediment.

The water remaining after settling undergoes additional filtration and through the overflow enters the fourth compartment, from where it is discharged into the ground or into a separate storage tank.

If for some reason the drainage of water from the sump is not removed by gravity, a drainage pump is used for this purpose.

The resulting water can be used for irrigation or to meet the technical needs of the site. Although the degree of wastewater treatment using the Eco-Grand septic tank is quite high, it is still not recommended to use such water for drinking, cooking, washing or taking a shower.

The resulting neutral sludge is disposed of using an airlift in a container provided for this purpose. To do this, periodically use a special hose and the ability to switch the direction of the air flow.

The neutral sludge tank should be cleaned regularly, as well as the treated water collection point, otherwise the drains in the device may reach the overflow level. Neutral silt is an excellent fertilizer, it can simply be applied to the soil on the site, thus improving the state of the landscape.

Varieties of designs and model range

To understand the principles of operation of a Topas-type septic tank, you should study its design. Externally, this device is a large cube-shaped container with a large square lid.

Inside, it is divided into four functional sections.There is a built-in device for air intake from the surface to ensure the saturation of the effluent with oxygen.

The Topas septic tank consists of four interconnected chambers providing multi-stage cleaning. Flowing from one compartment to another, the effluents are settled, processed by bacteria, disinfected and clarified

Inside the cleaning system are the following elements:

  • the receiving chamber, into which the effluents initially enter;
  • airlift with pumping equipment, which ensures the movement of wastewater between different departments of the device;
  • aeration tank - a department in which the secondary stage of cleaning is performed;
  • pyramidal chamber, where the final treatment of wastewater takes place;
  • post-treatment chamber, here the water purified during the operation of the septic tank accumulates;
  • air compressor;
  • sludge removal hose;
  • device for the removal of purified water.

The range of septic tanks of this brand is quite wide. There are models for plots and houses of various sizes, devices designed to service gas stations, and even powerful sewage treatment plants that can meet the needs of a small village.

This diagram clearly shows the device of the Topas septic tank. It consists of four different departments, through which the waste that has entered the sewer pipe is moved.

In private housing construction, Topas-5 and Topas-8 septic tanks are most often used. The number next to the name indicates the approximate number of residents that the device is designed to serve.

"Topas-5" has a more compact size and lower productivity, it is able to easily meet the needs of a family of five in sewerage services.

This model is considered an ideal choice for a relatively small cottage.Such a device can process about 1000 liters of wastewater per day, and the simultaneous discharge of waste within 220 liters will not cause any harm to the septic tank.

The dimensions of Topas-5 are 2500X1100X1200 mm, and the weight is 230 kg. The power consumption of the device is 1.5 kW per day.

But for a large cottage, it’s better to take Topas-8. The dimensions and ability to process wastewater from this model are much higher. Such a septic tank is able to serve even the areas where the pool is located, although in such a situation, Topas-10 may be more appropriate.

The performance of such models varies between 1500-2000 liters of wastewater per day.

The numbers next to the name of the septic tank indicate the number of people that this device can serve with simultaneous use. Buyers are guided by these indicators, choosing the right model.

There is also a letter marking that describes the special operating conditions for which a particular device is designed.

For example, the designation “Long” indicates the possibility of using this septic tank with a connection depth that exceeds 80 cm. The “Pr” marking indicates models with the option of forced pumping of partially treated water.

Such designs are additionally equipped with a pump. Models marked "Pr" are used in areas with a high level of groundwater.

Models of Topas septic tanks may vary depending on the volume of wastewater being processed, as well as on operating conditions. For example, for areas with an elevated groundwater level, it is recommended to choose a septic tank marked “Pr”

The presence of a pump in the device of this model of the Topas septic tank is designed for installation on a site with clay soils that do not filter well or do not absorb purified water at all. Marking "Us" stands for simply - "reinforced".

These are more powerful models that should be used if the installation depth of the septic tank exceeds the level of the sewer pipe by 1.4 m or more.

The higher the performance of the pump, its power and the more options it has, the more expensive it will be to purchase it, and the more difficult it is to install it. Therefore, you should not choose a treatment plant “for growth”, if in the near future the number of residents in the house should not increase sharply.

More detailed recommendations on choosing a septic tank for a summer residence are discussed in our other article.

Three of the best volatile autonomous sewers

An aerobic septic tank needs a constant connection to the mains, a compressor and hydraulic pumps. Electricity for operation is necessary by definition. Only with a continuous supply of air, aerobes absorb organic matter at the proper rate. It is this autonomous sewage system that is a full-fledged deep biological treatment station.

"BIODEKA" - minimalist design with maximum performance

The operation of the BIODEK septic tank is based on the treatment of wastewater with suspended sludge, in which aerobes live. In general, the installation is a classic aerobic station, but the developers managed to place all the working chambers and units in a single cylindrical housing made of foamed polyethylene. The result is a light, cheap and strong structure weighing up to 150 kg.

The cylindrical body of the septic tank "BIODEKA"

BIODEKA works according to the scheme in one cycle, which made it possible to get rid of an extra compressor and expensive automation. At the same time, the remaining aerator and pump are constantly involved, reducing the risk of airlift overgrowth to a minimum.

"TOPAS" - reliability of aerobic technology

Reliable septic tank Topass cleans drains by 99% with low power consumption. This is a classic system with two cleaning cycles. First, the sewage masses enter the primary chamber, where solid waste is filtered out. Then they enter containers with anaerobic microorganisms, which break down all the organic matter contained in them.

Topas modifications depending on the depth of the sewer pipe supply from the house

Models differ not only in performance, but also in the level of penetration of the sewer pipe. The removal of treated wastewater from the TOPAS septic tank is carried out by gravity or forcibly using a drainage pump.

UNILOS is the best option for harsh Russian conditions

Another classic among septic tanks is the UNILOS station. Two types of purification (mechanical and active-biological) guarantee a high degree of water purification. First, mechanical impurities are removed from the effluents, and the remaining organic contaminants are eaten by aerobes.

Autonomous sewerage device "Unilos"

The design provides for possible interruptions in the power supply. The system is also resistant to power surges. Another feature is the ability to manually remove accumulated sludge. In many other septic tanks, this can only be done using the built-in pump.

Types of bioactivators

When choosing the best tool for a septic tank, you should know that there are several different types that differ not only in capabilities, but also in the need for certain conditions, without which they will not work, will not give the desired effect.

Therefore, it is worth knowing exactly the difference between bacteria for a septic tank in order to select the most optimal organisms for your treatment plant that can work in this particular environment.

As for the features of use, the septic tank will work as efficiently as possible if bacteria are often used and fed with bioactivators. What to add to the septic tank for the winter so that it does not freeze? And here bioactivators will come to the rescue: if there are no owners on the site in the winter months, then before the start of the summer season it is definitely worth buying them. The septic tank, if I may say so, must be constantly “fed”. It is very simple to use the product - just pour it into the drain, sometimes it needs to be diluted beforehand.

The use of bioactivators

Among modern bioactivators, it is worth highlighting separately anaerobic bacteria for septic tanks and the so-called aerobic ones. In the first case, the presence of air in the septic tank will not be fundamental. When using anaerobic bacteria, the fermentation process will begin in the middle of the tank, then the particles will sink to the bottom, where they will decompose. The anaerobic types of bacteria themselves are able to purify and clarify water. This tool should be added to the treatment plant quite often, at least once every 2 months. The advantages of this tool include the fact that it is universal and the most popular. For him, there is no need to purchase a pump, for constant air injection, there is no need for other manipulations.

Aerobic bacteria require the presence of air to function. These microorganisms cannot survive without the presence of air. Air can be pumped into any septic tank using a compressor, where the process of mixing wastewater with air will take place. Bacteria are collected in colonies, on special shields reserved for this purpose, made of micro-fluffy fabrics. This is necessary so that the microorganisms are not drained by water flows, or by a strong air flow. Purification occurs due to the fact that organic elements decay.

In fact, any of the above types of bacteria work as purification catalysts, elements that can not only activate the recycling process, but also improve it.

The advantage of using bioactivators

Among other things, many have encountered the problem of clogging sewer systems when manual cleaning is necessary. But, today, it is biologically active substances that can not only help with effective waste treatment, but also resist the appearance of blockages.

Advantages

It is this tool that provides a non-toxic recycling process, environmentally friendly. Septic tanks, like bioactivators, are completely safe for humans. Feel free to use them. Another feature of bacteria is that you can very quickly get rid of unpleasant odors, ensure efficient processing of feces, processing them into water and carbon dioxide.

Among the advantages of bioactivators, it is worth mentioning the most important ones:

  • When using such means, disinfection and cleaning of the septic tank, or cesspool, occurs;
  • The volume of household waste is significantly reduced;
  • The number of necessary pumping of sewage drains will decrease;
  • The unpleasant smell will be minimal, or completely disappear;
  • The sediment that forms in the septic tanks will be liquefied.

Advantages and disadvantages

The septic tank is suitable for installation both in cottages with seasonal residence, and in suburban areas where the owners live permanently.

It does not need frequent cleaning; for its effective operation, it is quite enough to remove the accumulated sediment once every two years using sewage equipment. The treatment plant can provide comfortable living for a family of five.

Septic Kedr is the optimal treatment system for country cottages and garden plots. It is quite possible to install the tank on your own, without resorting to the services of specialists

The installation has become quite widespread in Russia, where it has been used for more than four years. It is perfectly adapted to the climatic conditions of our country. The septic tank belongs to budget-class devices, however, in terms of its consumer characteristics, it may well compete with equipment of a higher price category.

Among the advantages of the model are the following:

  • the equipment provides a sufficiently high level of filtration, since the water goes through several stages of purification. The process can be activated by adding special biological products;
  • compact vertical design does not require much space;
  • the treatment plant can be located at a short distance from the house;
  • the septic tank is light in weight, which allows you to independently install the tank without the involvement of special equipment;
  • the case made of durable plastic is not subject to corrosion and reliably protects the structure from moisture, dirt and other external influences. Thanks to this, the septic tank can be fully operated for thirty years or more;
  • all processes in a completely hermetic design take place inside the plant, without releasing any impurities and unpleasant odors into the external environment, which indicates the environmental safety of the plant;
  • the treatment system is non-volatile and does not require additional energy costs;
  • the septic tank is buried deep into the ground, so that the tank does not need additional insulation;
  • equipment does not require complex maintenance;
  • the cost of the treatment system does not exceed 60 thousand rubles, which is significantly lower than plants with similar characteristics.

However, the Cedar septic tank, in addition to its advantages, also has some disadvantages that must be considered when buying a device.

The water that has been treated in the installation is not so pure that it immediately enters the soil or drains into open sources, the degree of its purification is about 75%.

The filtration field is designed for post-treatment of water coming from the septic tank. For its organization, you need a large space. If there is no extra area on the site, it is better to install an absorption well, which takes up much less space.

Therefore, it requires additional purification in other filtration systems, which involves the construction of sites for filtration.And these are free areas that need to be found on the site, and extra costs for arranging an absorption well or filtration fields.

In addition, the septic tank requires periodic cleaning with the help of sewage equipment, which also implies additional costs.

Models of the septic tank DKS

Making a review of DKS septic tanks, it is impossible not to talk about the model range. The manufacturer produces several varieties of such a device. Among them there are models for small country houses and for cottages with permanent residents.

On sale you can find:

  • DKS 15. These products can easily cope with sewage from the life of 3-5 people. A septic tank can clean up to 450 liters of sewage per day. The volume of the device is 1.5 m3, and its weight is only 52 kg. The cost of such a septic tank is about 30,000 rubles.
  • DKS 25 is used to treat wastewater up to 750 liters per day. There is enough power to serve a house with 5-7 permanent residents. The volume of all containers of the septic tank is 2.5 m3, and the weight is 72 kg.Such a device will cost the buyer 42-45 thousand rubles.

Both brands of septic tanks are supplied for installation in areas with deep groundwater. If the water is close to the surface, then you need to buy a device with the letter "M". Such products are additionally equipped with a fourth chamber. It makes the septic tank completely sealed and prevents groundwater from penetrating inside the tank, and of course, slightly increases its cost.

In addition, the manufacturer offers to purchase additional equipment for its products. These devices include:

  • basin extension kit. If the septic tank is immersed in the ground to a great depth, then the shaft well that comes with the kit may not be enough;
  • drainage pump, which is ideal for the device;
  • drainage system consisting of pipes and nozzles;
  • biological products (fall asleep in a septic tank before use).

By installing a DKS septic tank in a country house, you can forget about the unpleasant smell on the street and the many inconveniences associated with the lack of a centralized sewage system. If you have any questions related to the choice of a septic tank, then write comments to the article.

Eurobion septic tank maintenance technology

Caring for a septic tank is quite simple, which is due to the simple design of the cleaning equipment. All actions can be done by hand. Maintenance is similar to preventive cleaning by other manufacturers.

Additionally, you should study the maintenance technology of the Eurobion septic tank

Septic tank maintenance includes the following processes:

It is necessary to monitor the transparency of the liquid at the outlet;
Once every 3 years, it is advised to check the condition of the compressor membrane;
Once a month assess the condition of the sedimentation tanks;
It is important to control the presence of unpleasant odors;
At the outlet, the presence of silt in the water should be checked.

All work is quite simple to perform, and their observance guarantees uninterrupted operation of the device. Similar actions are performed when caring for other septic tanks.

But in order to avoid any breakdowns, it is important not only to do a periodic inspection of the device, but also to operate it correctly.

Do not add chemicals to drains. Only biologically pure materials can be used. Insoluble waste is sent to the trash can.
