The REDMOND RV-R300 robot vacuum cleaner model has the following features:

• Automated selection of the trajectory of movement. The robot will consistently clean the floor surface throughout the room, choosing a route on its own, depending on the characteristics of the room.

The model of the REDMOND RV-R300 robot vacuum cleaner has sufficient technical characteristics for wet and dry cleaning of the premises. There are 4 cleaning modes.

The power consumption is 25W. Suction power - 15 W. A cyclone-type filter is used as a garbage container (no bag). But keep in mind that the robot has a small dust container: its volume is only 350 ml.

Navigation

Let's start with navigation. Within the same room, we placed obstacles in the form of a chair and a box to check how the robot will build a route of movement and whether it can clean the entire available area.

REDMOND RV-R650S WiFi moves like a snake. At the same time, he drove the entire area, made a perimeter pass, then additionally removed around the box and around 3 of the 4 legs of the chairs. After that, he returned to the base for charging. Navigation did not disappoint. For cleaning 10 sq.m. it took him 20 minutes. This is not too fast, but for robots with a gyroscope, the speed is standard.

We also checked how the robot will cope with cleaning the entire available area. In our case, these are 5 rooms with a total area of ​​about 34 sq.m. The robot vacuum cleaner cleaned everywhere. The map is not accurate, there are errors, but the geometry is correct (see picture above). It took almost 45 minutes to clean 34 sq.m., which he calculated as 31. The main thing is that there are no uncleaned areas left.

Next we tested the suction power of this robot. At the stand, we scattered the garbage in the cracks with a depth of 2 to 10 mm.REDMOND RV-R650S WiFi was able to partially suck out debris from a depth of 2 mm.

And you see that he managed to collect almost all the garbage from the floor. There was a small amount left in the corners, due to the round shape of the case, and there was some dust left along the baseboard. Cleaning quality is not perfect, but above average.

Let's see how the REDMOND RV-R650S WiFi handles carpet cleaning. We scattered the same garbage as in the previous test.

In addition, we checked the quality of wiping dirt from the floor. We smeared the laminate floor with shoe dirt and let it dry a bit.

The robot vacuum cleaner was able to wipe off all the dirt, so it did an excellent job.

As for the quality of wetting the napkin in the minimum and maximum modes, there is not much difference, but still, at the minimum level of water supply, the robot wets the napkin a little less. A 300 ml tank is enough for more than 100 sq.m. cleaning.

In addition, we measured the noise level of the REDMOND RV-R650S WiFi in different modes.In the polisher mode, the noise level did not exceed 57.2 dB, at the minimum power it was about 60.5 dB, in the standard mode the noise level was about 63.5 dB, and at the maximum power it reached 65.5 dB. These are standard values ​​for robots. It's not loud, but it's not too quiet either.

Additionally, we checked whether the REDMOND RV-R650S WiFi is afraid of black mats, recognizing them as height differences.

Yes, this robot vacuum does not run into black surfaces, like many others. Therefore, on black carpets or black tiles, you will have to glue the height difference protection sensors if there are no steps in the house and there are no actual height differences between the rooms.

Well, the last test will show us what thresholds the REDMOND RV-R650S WiFi is able to run over. He easily moves obstacles with a height of 10 and 15 mm, but he is not always able to move a 20-mm threshold, although he succeeds. Total patency of obstacles up to 20 mm.

Before you start the robot vacuum cleaner, you need to study the manual for it. The kit comes with instructions in Russian.

The device can work autonomously for a little over an hour. Be sure to look at the "Clean" button. If it glows red, it means that the vacuum cleaner needs recharging. Do not use it further, as this will badly affect the battery. When a critical level is reached, the device is sent to the base.

• for everyday floor cleaning, an automatic mode is used, in which the device independently builds movement patterns based on information received from ten built-in obstacle sensors;
• turbo mode, which is similar to automatic, but has increased suction power;
• cleaning mode of a fixed area with the most severe pollution (local): the device moves along a spiral path - first along an increasing radius, and then along a decreasing one;
• zigzag - the robot vacuum cleaner does not move forward in a straight path, but moves from side to side; the mode is great for use in spacious rooms that are not cluttered with furniture;
• cleaning corners - the robot moves around the perimeter of the room (along the walls, furniture and other long objects), carefully collecting the accumulated debris.

It is recommended to activate the automatic and turbo operating modes for cleaning medium and heavy soiled surfaces. For cleaning in the hallway and in the kitchen, the local mode is best suited, and for the corridor and halls - “zigzag”. You can install cleaning in the corners if you notice that dust has especially accumulated along the baseboards.

For more effective cleaning, use the wet mopping mode. Install a separate water container, attach the nozzle to the bottom, and start the device.

When reviewing the front panel of the robot vacuum cleaner, we see the only mechanical control button through which you can start or stop the robot. The button is made of translucent plastic and is equipped with a multicolor status indicator. Most of the panel is occupied by the cover of the compartment in which the dust collector is installed. The top cover is not resistant to mechanical damage, it was slightly scratched during the tests. In principle, we can’t single out anything special in the design, except for UV lamps, the effectiveness of which can only be checked in laboratory conditions. But at the same time, plastic does not look cheap, for the money this is a normal version.

The cleaning quality is 9 out of 10. During the dry cleaning test, the REDMOND RV-R650S WiFi left a little debris along the baseboard, but in general it did a good job of dry cleaning, cleaning the carpet and even wiping dirt from the floor. It can collect both small debris and wool and hair from the floor. Therefore, there are no special claims to the quality of cleaning.

Manufacturer support 9 out of 10. Redmond is very popular and provides warranty service as well as service support for its products. On the site you can easily purchase a set of consumables and even some spare parts. The application is not branded, we have already met it with other robots, so the maximum score cannot be set either. But nevertheless, the manufacturer is well-known and proven, so we remove only 1 point.

In principle, REDMOND RV-R650S WiFi is quite a good option for the money. It is equipped with all the basic functionality, while being well assembled and able to automatically maintain cleanliness in the house. So there are no special complaints about the robot and we did not find any reasons why it could not be recommended. On the site, the price without a discount is 27 thousand rubles, and this is certainly expensive, but for 18 thousand rubles the option is not bad.
