Advantages of electrofusion welding

Electrofusion welding INGPLAST is very cheap. Pipelines are unique in the market due to their structure. Molecularly cross-linked PEX-a polyethylene is strong and manufactured under the influence of high temperatures, pressures and peroxides. Therefore, such pipelines cannot be butt-to-butt welded, as with conventional polyethylene pipes. Pipelines can be connected:

  1. Mechanical collapsible couplings
  2. Through flanges and shoulder connection
  3. EF couplings Plasson, Friatec, GF/Wavin.
  4. Victaulic style fittings.

A little about EF couplings

The cheapest option for connecting pipes are EF couplings. This type of connection will be ideal for reduced pressure plastic pipes (which are only supplied in 11.8m pieces) and for main pipelines for transporting gas, oil.

Pipes are connected to fittings by electrofusion welding, which creates a hermetic seam. In the process of such electrofusion welding, the current flows through the heating wire. The material around the wire is melted and the pipe is welded to the fitting.

The electrofusion welding process itself is quite simple, but you must first have the basics:

  1. Apparatus for electrofusion welding
  2. Chamfering knife
  3. Knife for removing the top layer
  4. Degreaser
  5. EF clutch.

If you do not plan to carry out regular repair work, and they are not needed with pipes, then the company's specialists can rent a welding machine or do all the work on installing the pipeline on site.

The process of connecting pipelines through electrofusion couplings ensures reliable and fast installation.

Advantages of electrofusion welding:

  • It is possible to connect plastic pipes with different wall thicknesses using Eff fittings.
  • Automatic electric welding machines minimize possible failures and errors, and also give us the ability to fully trace the connection.
  • Short installation time and easy implementation.
  • Ideal for welding jobs in difficult conditions.
  • The method of welding plastic pipes is the same for all diameters.
  • After welding (since the sleeve is welded onto the plastic pipe), the same flow rate is maintained as in the original pipe.
