Features and capabilities

A heated inflatable pool is a great option for relaxing in the country. Especially if you are a fan of starting the swimming season in April and ending it in October. And the location of your area does not please warm sunny days for a long time.
The inflatable hot tub with heated water has good quality characteristics. Since when using such a bowl, there is a load on the material not only physical, but also exposure to water with an elevated temperature.Therefore, all inflatable models with such a bonus, in the form of a jacuzzi, massage and warm water, have:
- a special coating of non-absorbable braided polyester threads with a silicone coating. Plus the bottom, which has an additional outer leatherette coating so as not to be damaged by plants and stones. accordingly, such a bowl can be placed in any convenient place on the site, without preparation.
- has a unique water softening system, thanks to which hard water will not damage the filter.
- a powerful pump that pumps water up to 1700 liters per hour, retaining debris that enters the water.
- heating system, capable of making the water temperature up to +40 in a few hours.
- has, depending on the pool model, up to 150 massage jets around the perimeter of the pool, for the flow of warm air bubbles.
- waterproof jacuzzi remote control.
The heated inflatable pool has a chlorine-hydrating system that disinfects the water with special salt. Staying in such a pool will bring a lot of positive emotions, as soft warm water has a beneficial effect on the skin and does not dry it out and soothes. And the bubbles from the heated outdoor jacuzzi have a good effect on the circulatory system. In addition, they give a good relaxing effect.

Types of collectors for heating pool water
Solar collectors used to heat pool water can be:
- vacuum;
- flat (open or closed).
For year-round pools, vacuum collectors are used that can retain heat inside even at low temperatures.
For those intended as a family vacation, for example, in the country and operated during the seasonal period (usually in Russian conditions from April to October), they are best suited flat solar collectors. Design features allow you to make them yourself.
vacuum
The classic version of such a heat exchanger consists of two tubes: a smaller one with a special, easily evaporating liquid pumped inside is inserted into a large tube with evacuated air. The degree of heating affects the amount of evaporating liquid, which, entering the condenser, gives off more or less heat to the heat exchanger.
A copper tube is inserted into the heat exchanger to improve the efficiency of heat transfer. Copper, which has good thermophysical properties, transfers heat to the pool water with less loss.

Flat (open)
Flat, receiving solar radiation, has no protection from environmental influences. Usually they have a rectangular shape, made of plastic, painted black.

The performance of such a collector is highly dependent on from the surrounding weather - It works only at positive temperatures outside.
Flat (closed)
Unlike the open one, it is a thermally insulated box closed on top with a sheet of glass or special plastic.

Behind the protective glass is an adsorber, the body of which is made of a material with high thermal conductivity, such as aluminum.A copper tube is tightly attached to the body, which is made in the form of a coil to increase the absorption surface. The tube contains a liquid sensitive to the perception of solar radiation. Passing through the coil, the water from the pool receives thermal energy and its temperature rises.

"Hose snail"
It is known that water can be heated by increasing its surface. To do this, one end of a long hose (preferably black) is connected to the hole in the pool, and the other to the filter pump. It is advisable to secure the hose with clamps to avoid leaks. Then lay it out in the sun (it is most convenient to lay it in circles, the shape resembles a snail). Water passing through the hose will heat up faster.
You will find all the information about water purification in the pool in the country here.
Boiler from electricity
Use for heating water and a powerful boiler. It is very dangerous!
Electric shock can be fatal!
In addition, there is a risk of damage to plastic or film containers. Among the minuses is the high cost of electricity. If you still decide to take a chance, then follow the safety rules:
- Lower the boiler into the water turned off!
- It must not touch the walls of the pool!
- When the boiler is turned on, do not touch the water!
Boiler diagram
Various types of structures are used to heat the water in the pool. The devices consist of a furnace, a heat exchanger, a housing and a chimney.
Metal units are mobile, have high efficiency, do not require a solid foundation.
The simplest home-made device for heating water in the pool is a metal cylinder, inside of which a heat exchanger is laid along the walls: a stainless steel coil.Firewood is burned inside, water is pumped or flows by itself into a nearby pool.

Photo 1. To make a heater the pool needs a similar coil: this is a heat exchanger, according to to which the coolant will circulate.
A metal potbelly stove with a built-in heat exchanger is more difficult to make, but it is more efficient. The firebox is located under the heat exchanger, which can be a grid of welded pipes, a coil, ribs of cast-iron batteries, car radiators with sparse plates. Hot gases passing through the heat exchanger heat the circulating liquid.
In boilers at the base long burning stoves "Buleryan" all the fuel goes to heat the passing water. Home craftsmen have long learned to make such devices from profile pipes and sheet metal.
Types of water heaters
Spiral water heater
The ideal option is a solution that does not consume any heat carriers and electrical energy. But in real conditions, this is almost impossible to achieve. There are a large number of varieties of both commercial and independent developments.
Use of a gas boiler. This option cannot be called economical, but thanks to it, a large volume can be heated quickly enough. The disadvantage of such a system is the need for some refinement. If pool water is run directly into the heater, it may clog it and lead to scale formation on the heat exchanger. In turn, this will result in costly repairs.
Drovyanoy
Wood water heater. In this case, a small firebox is made through which the coil is passed.Water, passing through it, heats up and returns back to the tank. In this case, it is necessary to constantly monitor the state of the system and load firewood. Also, there is no possibility to carry out continuous heating. At night, the water will lose its temperature.
Heat pump
Heat pumps. It makes no sense to put such a unit only for heating the pool. It will be inexpedient in terms of productivity and material waste. You can use it when it is already built into the heating system of the whole house. The condition for its operation is the ambient temperature, which must be above +5°C.
How a heat pump works
Electric heaters. Essentially similar for instantaneous water heaters for domestic use. The principle of operation is that the liquid passes through the coil, which is in contact with the heating element. In this way, heat energy is transferred. This solution is very uneconomical in terms of energy costs. The power of the elements can reach and exceed 6 kW. If you use it for a long time, then the electricity bill will block all the joy of bathing.
Electric water heater
Solar water heaters. In such solutions, the sun acts as a heater. Its resource is inexhaustible, you do not need to pay for it, so this solution can be considered ideal. But do not forget that during high cloud cover, when the rays are scattered, the performance drops, and at night it is completely equal to zero.
Homemade solar collector
Installation or connection to any of the listed options can be done independently. Some can be assembled from the first screw.How to do this will be discussed further.
Features of mounting the device
The procedure for connecting a pool heat pump depends on the features of a particular model. Therefore, before starting work, you should carefully study the manufacturer's instructions and strictly follow the requirements and recommendations set out in it. Typically, industrial models are supplied already assembled and with a set of components necessary for installation.
Operation diagram of a heat pump connected to a swimming pool: 1 - Pool heat pump 2 - Remote control 3 - Pure water for swimming pool4 - Circulation pump5 - Bypass (bypass channel) and control valves6 - Water supply pipe from the pool7 - Filter
During the connection, you will need to install a pair of pipes, as well as provide power. In the pool maintenance system, the heater is installed in such a way that it is located after the filtration system and before the chlorinator.
As shown in this diagram, the heat pump should be connected after the water filter but before the water chlorinator
It is very important to choose the right place to install the equipment. Usually thermal air pump-water” is an aggregate of impressive dimensions, resembling split air conditioner outdoor unit
To install an air source heat pump, it is necessary to choose a place that is large enough and protected from external influences, for example, with a canopy.
The location for the installation of such equipment must meet the following requirements:
- good ventilation;
- lack of obstacles for the movement of air masses;
- distance from open fire and other heat sources;
- protection from external environmental factors: precipitation, debris falling from above, etc.;
- availability for maintenance and necessary repairs.
Most often, a heat pump is installed under a canopy. For added protection, you can install a couple of side walls, but they should not interfere with the airflow that is pumped by the fans.
The pump is mounted on a metal frame, the base must be strictly horizontal. This will minimize problems such as vibration and noise during operation of the device, and also protect the device from damage.
The air source heat pump must be installed on a solid and strictly horizontal base. This will reduce vibration during its operation and reduce the amount of noise.
When installing the heat pump and connecting it to the system, it is important to make sure that all its parts are clean. It does not hurt to check the inner surface of the pipes with which the connection is made.
All junctions of pipes through which water circulates must be carefully sealed and checked for leaks. To prevent the vibration from the heat pump from being transmitted to the rest of the system during its operation, it makes sense to consider the connection option using flexible hoses.
The power supply of the heat pump will require special attention. It must fully comply with the rules for the installation of electrical equipment, taking into account all fire safety requirements.
There is usually a high level of humidity around the pool, and the likelihood of electrical equipment coming into contact with water increases significantly.Therefore, it is necessary to carefully insulate all places of electrical contacts, additionally protecting them from possible contact with moisture.
It is mandatory to include circuit breakers in the circuit for connecting the heat pump to the power supply, which are equipped with sensors that respond to temperature increases. You will also need protection devices that will prevent current leakage.
All conductive nodes must be grounded without fail. For connecting cables, both power and control, you will need special terminal blocks. The manufacturer's instructions usually indicate the required cross-section of electrical cables through which equipment can be connected to the power supply.
These data must be adhered to. The cross section of the cable may be more than recommended, but not less.
The installation of a heat pump for heating water in the pool is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. It is usually installed after the water treatment system, but before the chlorination device, if any.
The most affordable heating option is from the sun
Sanitary the rules set out the following water temperature indicators:
- children under 7 years old 30-32 degrees;
- children over 7 years old 29-30 degrees,
- adults 24-28 degrees.
In the conditions of central Russia, this method is not effective. To achieve a comfortable water temperature, it is necessary to use a device for water heating equipment
Craftsmen have already invented and implemented many simple and original solutions to this problem. Here are some examples.
What are the methods
In summer, the water in the pool is heated naturally.But when the temperature drops, you need to think about heating the water with special means. The easiest way to install a heater, factory made. Electricity can be used to operate gas or solid fuel. Next, we will consider in more detail how to heat the water in the pool in the country.
To choose the right device, you need to consider:
- Warm-up rate. In order to quickly warm up the reservoir, electric heaters are usually used. The power of devices directly depends on the price;
- Pond type. Indoor pools are much easier and faster to warm up than open pools;
- Volume. The larger the volume of the reservoir, the more powerful and expensive equipment you need to buy;
- frequency and seasonality of use. In order to regularly heat the reservoir, regardless of the season, it will be necessary to install an apparatus with a high degree of heat transfer.
electric heater
This is one of the simplest methods to heat the water in the pool. The liquid in the reservoir is heated when it passes through the tubes, which are heated by the dielectric. The device is very compact. The kit includes a small pump that pushes liquid into the heating element. The temperature of the tubes themselves is constant, so you can adjust the heating by adjusting the speed of water moving through the pipes.
Electric pool heater
This method is suitable for small pools, up to 30 m3. The advantage is the low cost of the heater itself, but the use is far from the cheapest, since it consumes a lot of energy.
Heating with solar collectors
To heat the pool in the country, you can use the energy of the sun.You can heat water indoors and outdoors. It takes 3-5 hours for it to reach the desired temperature.
Solar collectors for water heating in summer
To create a heated system, you need special equipment. Modules in the form of a screen or tube. Principle work of solar panels:
- black collectors intensively absorb the sun's rays;
- from the energy received, water reaches high temperatures;
- after warming up to the desired degree, the circulation pump starts.
Models with three-way automatic valves are available. They provide uninterrupted circulation of the coolant through the system.
A similar device can be made using a regular black hose. It will take about 40 meters of material, a pump for circulation and a flat area:
- the hose is twisted in spirals, laid at an angle to the sun on the surface;
- a pump is connected to it;
- the structure is connected to the pool.
Heating water in the pool with a heat pump
Pool heating is an ideal application for air-to-water heat pumps. (It is no coincidence that the supply of this equipment is growing literally before our eyes.) After all, the temperature to which water must be heated is low - no more than 30 ° C. With this task, the air source heat pump successfully copes even at a fairly low outside temperature air. Moreover, the less temperature difference source of heat and heated water, the higher the efficiency of the heat pump.
Recall that a heat pump is a device that collects and directs for useful needs heat dissipated in the surrounding space - in water, air, soil.Thanks to this, for every kilowatt-hour of electricity spent on work) of a heat pump, four or more kilowatt-hours of heat can be obtained. The extraction of energy from the air is technically the easiest way to use dissipated heat, which does not require drilling wells, digging trenches, etc.
You can organize the heating of the pool water using a conventional heat pump - according to a two-circuit scheme, using an additional water-to-water heat exchanger. It is better to use special models for direct connection to the water recirculation line. They are equipped with built-in titanium heat exchangers and, as a rule, allow heating of salt water.
Most of the offer of air source heat pumps for swimming pools are monoblock devices for outdoor installation, designed to work at an air temperature of +5 ° C. This is quite enough for the operation of a home reservoir in the summer and in the off-season. But it is not difficult to find a model for year-round use, designed for temperatures up to -10 ... -15 ° С.
As a rule, in a private pool, a three-phase power supply is not required for a heat pump. BUT electrical power consumed by the device allows you to easily fit into the limits allocated by power engineers.
Monoblock air heat pumps are installed in the immediate vicinity of the pool, without long pipelines. They are easily and quickly installed in the water treatment line, usually with PVC pipes and fittings.
As a rule, for year-round use in our conditions, the heat pump needs the support of an additional heat source, which is included in the work on cold winter days.
Part of the load on the heat supply of the indoor pool can be covered by the utilization of heat from the indoor air, including during its dehumidification.

Preparation for work
Craft diy heater water for the pool - thoroughly save on the purchase of expensive equipment. The use of solar energy as heating is the best option that allows you to save both your money and thermal energy.
You will need a lot of materials to create a solar heater, but you should not save on them - all your costs will pay off in the first few weeks of operation. Wood is allowed to use the most common, for example, pine. Before using it, it is recommended to treat the surface with a special antiseptic to prevent rotting or the formation of pests. Fasteners and adapters for assembling the collector are recommended to initially buy the highest quality, albeit expensive.

Simple Options
Not everyone can afford an expensive water heater. For example, if the pool is installed for a short time. For this you can do DIY pool water heater.
Ways to heat the water in the pool
The devices that help heat the water in the pool are described below.
Flowing electric heaters for fast heating
Designed specifically for heating water in the pool from electricity. Briefly, their principle of operation: water, passing through a special cylinder (heater), quickly heats up. Arranged without storage capacity. By increasing or decreasing the pressure of water, you can regulate its temperature.
Devices are divided into classes, depending on the power consumption. For a small pool, 3.5 kW is enough power. There is such a model. Its peculiarity is that the temperature of the "incoming" water is desirable +18 degrees. There are also models with a capacity of 5, 7 kW, etc. Up to 18 kW. Pluses:
- safety and efficacy;
- ideal for frame and inflatable pools of small sizes.
Minuses:
- often require separate wiring;
- not suitable for large pools (little power, 35 m 3 is unlikely to heat);
- hefty electricity bills. Even the consumption of 3 kW per hour is quite expensive. It will take a long time to heat large volumes and this heating will be expensive;
- water must be of a certain quality (soft, salt impurities are minimal).

Heat exchangers
Do not require electricity. They work from the general heating system. This is a flask with a coil inside. To the coil from the system heating supply hot water. And from the outside it is washed by water from the pool. The device is equipped with a circulation pump. It is regulated by a special valve, and that one by a thermostat. The desired temperature is set on the thermostat by the owner, and then the automation will work.
You may also be interested in varieties of frame deep pools for summer cottages.
The power of heat exchangers is from 13 to 200 kW. Manufacturers offer vertical and horizontal, stainless steel and titanium models. You should choose based on the volume of water that needs to be heated. Sometimes the use of several heat exchangers is justified. For the first time, water should be heated for 28 hours (at the same time, the heat exchanger power should be maximum) so that there is no instrumental collapse.
Pros:
- the heat exchanger is easy to operate;
- a device with high power is suitable for large pools.
Minus: dependence on the heating system. In order to use the appliance in the summer when the house is not heated, the entire system must be designed so that the boiler can only heat the pool water.

Solar collectors for frame pools in the country
The water is heated by the sun. Solar systems are different. For swimming pools, selective rectangular panels are more often used, which take on the sun's rays.Inside there is a coolant - water, when it heats up, the circulation pump is activated and it is supplied to the pool.
Pros:
- quick effect;
- manage the device easily.
Cons: in cloudy weather, efficiency is reduced.
Heat pumps for inflatable
They work like a refrigerator in reverse. The system takes heat from the environment (soil, reservoir, air). You can connect it to any electrical outlet. The pump is cost-effective, consuming 1-1.25 kW, it produces heat up to 6 kW. Due to the high cost, the device is not very popular yet.
Minuses:
- works only in warm weather (from +5 degrees Celsius);
- the device is expensive, and both the equipment and its installation are expensive. Using the system only for heating water in the pool is not economically viable. It will only be justified if the house is heated in this way.
Special coating
Very easy and quite effective to use floating pool cover. The heat-saving coating is a film with bubbles (maybe even dark in color for more heating). Usually it is cut out the desired size and shape. The use is simple: the coating is spread on the water. Additional fasteners are not needed. You can cover the pool with a film at night, then the water will not cool much. It is also used during the day: in a few hours the water will warm up by 3-4 degrees.
Plus: the method is very economical.
Minus: uneven heating of water, the upper layers are warm, and below it remains cold. A filter pump can quickly mix it or it will mix while bathing vacationers.
Heating with a heat pump
Heat pump connection system
Operating principle:
- heat source - industrial, domestic wastewater, thermal springs or flue gases;
- liquid circulates through a pipeline laid underground;
- then it enters the heat exchanger, where heat is given off to the refrigerant and it boils;
- then comes the formation of steam masses, which are transferred to the compressor and compressed to 25 atmospheres;
- passing in a circle, the water returns to the bowl.
Positive aspects of technology:
- high power;
- free energy sources;
- saving money during operation;
- fast heating.
The only negative is the high price of the equipment.
Heat pump system for heating water
What are heated tubs?
A hot tub from the manufacturer consists of a sealed polypropylene bowl, external wooden cladding (solid larch, pine, cedar, oak, spruce), a layer of insulation for the floor and walls, an insulated cover, a water drain system, additional equipment for hydromassage and lighting, a stainless steel stove , devices for comfortable immersion and exit from the font (steps, hanging ladder, handrails, stand).
A simpler and cheaper alternative is a wooden hot tub with stainless steel hoops.
Stainless steel tubs stand apart. They can be buried, sheathed or used on their own in the form of a heated vat.
A stainless steel bowl can be heated from below like a pot, but in this case, pebbles must be poured onto the bottom to avoid burns.
In the spirit of antiquity, a bowl will look additionally lined with stone. Its practical advantage is fast heating and long-term preservation of heat.
The shape of the font can be round, oval, angular, rectangular or in the form of a polyhedron. According to the method of furnace location: with internal and external heating.
The second method allows you to save space in the font and is safe for children, but inferior to the first in terms of heating speed. In addition, with the internal location of the stove, there is a problem with the ingress of ash into the water.
To improve ease of use, the outdoor font is ennobled with a platform, into which it can be deepened to a comfortable level, up to full deepening flush with the site.
