Stages of gasification at home
The contractor reviews the application within three days from the date of receipt. Commissioning works
After starting the gas, you will need to contact the organization with which you have signed a service agreement for all provided gas equipment in order to put this equipment into operation. - floor plans of all heated premises of the house with an explication, as well as an indication of heights and areas;
- types and number of points of hot water intake (such as washstands, baths, showers, etc.);
- description of the possible use of a gas boiler for technological needs.
The owner of a private house has the right to make all the approvals either independently or contact an organization that deals with the issues of gasification of the house and the installation of a gas pipeline.
Categories of gasified objects
According to Decree No. 1314 of the Government of Russia, homeowners need to find out how much it costs now to bring gas into their homes by contacting the regional gas distribution service.
First of all, household expenses for technological connection depend on the volume of gasification works. In this regard, three categories of capital objects have been identified.
The first category of objects. The first category includes private households whose total consumption of natural gas does not exceed 5 m³/h.
Small businesses are equated to them, the technological equipment of which consumes no more than 15 m³ / h of a mixture of propane and butane. Those. the lowest fee for connection to the gas distribution network is charged for cottages with an area of less than 300 m² and small businesses from the public utility area.
The installation work on the supply of the gas pipeline will be completed at the border of the site. The layout of the gas pipe for the consuming equipment of the household on its territory is carried out according to a separate project
The possible scope of work on laying connecting gas communications to the household of the first category is limited:
- the greatest distance from the main gas distributor to the equipment consuming gas is less than 200 m;
- gas pressure in the gas supply source - up to 0.3 MPa.
In addition, the laying of introductory gas pipelines is carried out without the construction of reduction points (pressure reduction) of the main natural gas.
The fee for connecting the gas pipeline for objects of the first category is 20,000-50,000 rubles (clause 8 of the appendix to the order of the Federal Tariff Service of the Russian Federation No. 101-e / 3 of 04/28/2014). The exact price is determined by the local GDO according to the conditions in the given territory, but cannot exceed 50,000 rubles.
The second category of objects. Among the objects of the second category are households, the connection of which requires distribution gas pipelines and / or the creation of points for reducing the main gas. Their estimated gas consumption is higher than the norm for objects of the first category, a higher gas supply pressure is required (i.e. 0.6 MPa or more), etc.
Compliance with the cost of connection in the first category is observed if the pipeline is inserted into a low-pressure gas pipeline. If gas reduction is required, the connection price will exceed 50 thousand rubles.
In the private housing sector, objects falling under the second category usually have an area of more than 300 m².For their gasification, standardized tariff rates are applied, calculated according to the methodology developed by the Federal Tariff Service of the Russian Federation (Appendix to Order No. 101-e / 3 of April 28, 2014).
It should be noted that applicants for consumption volumes of natural or artificial gas from 300 m³/h and above are required to coordinate gas connections with the GDS, which has a technological connection with the contractor's gas pipeline.
Approval of the amounts of tariffs for connecting gas to households of the second category is made by the local executive authority of the REC (ie the regional energy commission).
The third category of objects. The capital construction objects of the third category include farms that need an individual gasification project. For them, the amount is determined according to the design and estimate documentation, which has previously passed the examination.
The amount of expenses for gasification for households of the third category is established by the REC, related to the location of the economy connected to the main gas.
The prices for laying the gas pipeline along the section from the border entrance are not the same for different companies. However, it is worth considering the need for numerous gas project approvals. Full-fledged gasification will happen faster with an experienced contractor
The following conditions are considered to be characteristic features of the applicants' facilities in need of gasification:
- planned consumption of natural gas from 500 m³/h;
- work on connection to the gas pipeline requires the pipeline to be laid out through the forest fund, along rocky soils, swamps and water obstacles;
- gas pipeline installation work requires passing through obstacles that force the use of horizontal directional drilling.
Those.According to Government Decree No. 1314, there are actually no rigid prices for the technological connection of applicants to the gas network. These are vertical risers through which gas is transported to the corresponding equipment in the living room.
When moving it into the house, a number of safety requirements must be met. These include the following:
- the presence of independent, isolated premises;
- good ventilation with exhaust in hallways with high ceilings that are fire resistant;
- non-explosive device designed to inject natural gas.
Due to the fact that the gas is twice as heavy as air, if there is a leak, it fills the basement and is able to travel considerable distances. Even a small leak in an apartment can cause death by asphyxiation or cause a fire.
Gasification project
Project documentation is compiled on the basis of information about specifications. The list of documents includes the following information:
- the place of entry of the gas pipe into a private house;
- wiring communications throughout the facility and inside the house;
- a list of necessary work when connecting;
- security measures;
- work estimates;
- recommendations on the technical characteristics of gas equipment.
Project of gasification of a private house
To develop design documents, the designer on site takes the necessary measurements, while taking into account the wishes of the customer regarding the location of gas appliances. The gasification project can be drawn up by specialists of the gas distribution company, but the law provides for the possibility of attracting third-party companies to develop the project, but their services will cost more. However, in this case, the documentation will be compiled faster.When contacting a third-party design organization, it is necessary to check whether it has a license to carry out these works.
Previously, a project for the distribution of gas throughout the house was needed only for buildings of 3 floors and above with 1 family living. However, according to SP 402.1325800.2018, from 06/06/2019, the gas supply project will become mandatory in other cases when connecting to gas.
Agreement with a construction and installation organization
When all the necessary documents have been signed and all matters have been settled with GorGaz and the design organization, you are sent to the installation organization, which will subsequently carry out all the necessary construction and installation work. Do not hesitate to check her license as well, since it is the installation organization that should hand over the work to GorGaz, therefore, an entry in the GorGaz registry should testify to its existence.
Note: in most cases, installation organizations have a license to perform not only installation, but also design work, in this case, if you order the project directly from the installation organization, then the cost of gasification at home is reduced by 25-30% of the total amount.
When you have agreed with the installers the terms and cost of the work, be sure to sign a contract with them, so that in which case you have at least some guarantees from the contractor.
The contract will contain guarantees and obligations on the part of the installation organization.
Guarantees in the process of laying the external and internal gas pipeline:
- in the production of construction and installation works, the contractor must have all the necessary fire extinguishing equipment, as well as a protective screen necessary to protect the surface of the walls from heating;
- after the final payments for the work performed, the installation organization hands over to you the executive and technical documentation;
- the construction and installation organization undertakes to timely and efficiently perform all work under this contract.
During commissioning:
- to establish optimal modes of gas equipment to ensure the rational use of gas;
- instruct you in the correct operation of the equipment;
- if it is impossible to debug the operation of gas equipment or individual units, establish the reason for such an impossibility to fix it in the act and suspend work until the identified deficiencies are eliminated;
- hand over the result of the work with the execution of a bilateral act for the work performed.

After drawing up the specifications, a gas supply project should be developed. This is an expensive procedure and there are 2 options for its development. You can either contact a resource supplying organization or a private company. The first option is cheaper, the second is faster.
If the project is being done by a third party organization and not a resource provider, be sure to draw up a contract with them, check all licenses and read the reviews of their previous clients
Be careful if you want to make a project with the help of a private company, it must be a member of self-regulatory organizations and have the appropriate license.
To complete the project you will need:
- the situational plan of the site issued by the local government;
- technical specifications received by you;
- plan of the house indicating the location of gas-using equipment;
- gas-using devices planned for installation (passports for them), if they have already been purchased;
- geological research;
- measurements of distances between structures and communications on the site;
- site measurements.
Again, you should check the full list of documents and necessary research directly with the organization.
Be sure to enter into agreements with the company involved in the drafting and development of the project, while keeping a copy and the original of this document.
The gas supply project includes complex technical calculations for gas consumption to supply connected equipment. These surveys are carried out first. Then the specialist will plan the transportation of gas along the site from the tie-in point to the house.

Often, the coordination lasts for more than one week, and the resource supplying organization may wrap up the development if it does not comply with the current standards and operational features of gasification.
Features of gasification of residential buildings
With the help of gas in the house, you can successfully organize heating, hot water heating, and cooking.Gas equipment is reliable and diverse, and the cost of blue fuel is usually lower than the use of electricity, solid or liquid fuel for the same purposes.
In addition, gas lines fail extremely rarely, but power outages are common. Stocks of firewood, coal, diesel fuel and other similar energy carriers have to be constantly replenished.
The main problem with natural gas is its danger to human health and its ability to explode. Even a small leak can lead to poisoning or an explosion. That is why the requirements for the installation of gas communications are very high, you should not even think about doing all the work yourself.

In order to properly introduce gas into a private house, a special unit is used, which is called a reducer for reducing gas pressure.
To begin with, experts do not recommend saving on materials or system elements. Pipe laying of dubious quality and unprofessional installation are unacceptable.
Gas pipes almost always need to be laid in an open way (except for underground sections of the highway). They cannot be hidden under any decorative elements to improve the interior.

It is not recommended to introduce a gas pipe into the house through the thickness of the foundation; for this purpose, a hole is made in the outer wall and a sleeve is inserted into it for protection
It is recommended to avoid plug connections whenever possible. All places where pipes are connected must be located in such a way that at any time the point of contact can be examined and repaired if necessary.
Do not lay gas pipes inside the walls or in the thickness of the foundation.This rule also applies to other elements such as architraves, door frames, window frames, partitions, etc.
In some cases, it is allowed to lay a gas pipe in a wall niche, but this point must be clearly reflected and justified in the project. Special requirements are also imposed on the slope of the pipes. Horizontally, the position of the line is allowed to deviate by only 3 mm towards gas appliances.
Vertically, no deviations are allowed, but the riser may have a slight slope: no more than 2 mm per meter. It should not pass through living quarters, through a toilet or bathroom. The gas riser should be located in the stairwell, often through the kitchen.
You will also have to carefully monitor the installation of shut-off valves. So, the position of the central axis of the plug must be strictly parallel to the wall along which the pipe runs. When choosing the position of the valve, make sure that the position of the locking device is not blocked by the wall. From the ceiling and from the walls, the gas pipe should be located at a distance of 100 mm.

Gas pipes are fixed along the wall not close, but at a short distance so that communications remain available for routine inspection and repair
The gap between the wall and the pipe can vary from the size of the pipe radius to a limit value of 100 mm. This clearance is necessary so that the structure can be easily examined. A distance of 2.2 m should be maintained from the floor. Gas pipes are placed on special strong supports, sagging of the structure is unacceptable.
Therefore, it is necessary to make sure that there are no gaps between the bracket and the pipe.All these important points are taken into account in the design of the gas supply system, which must first be drawn up by specialist engineers.
Gas pipes should be laid at least 30 cm from the electrical panel, and at least 25 cm from open wiring. From the hidden cable should retreat at least five centimeters.
What facilities are allowed to be gasified?
Before you start fussing about supplying gas to an object, find out if it can be done.
According to Federal Law No. 69, it is possible to gasify: private-type houses, as well as apartment buildings put into operation; sites with buildings that have not yet been put into operation, at the stage of completion of their design; country and garden houses in the presence of capital structures (foundation); organizations.
At the local GDO, you can clarify whether and under what conditions it is possible to connect your building to gas supply.
It is possible to conduct gas to the house even before the end of its construction, however, the gas will be launched only after the building is put into operation.
Based on RF PP No. 549, it is impossible to connect to the gas supply network:
- objects of non-permanent structure that do not have a foundation, that is, garages, summer-type kitchens, greenhouses, and so on;
- some apartments in an apartment building, provided there is no gas in the whole building;
- country and garden houses without a capital foundation and registration in the USRN.
