The PVCR 0726W robot vacuum cleaner had five cleaning programs: automatic mode, short cleaning, manual mode, local cleaning and cleaning along the walls. When working on carpets, the vacuum cleaner showed good results, sometimes exceeding the result of conventional vacuum cleaners. When working on a black carpet, the sensors of the vacuum cleaner did not perceive the black surface as a void, and the vacuum cleaner worked confidently on a black surface.

For wet cleaning, it was necessary to install a water container with an attached microfiber cloth. There was enough water for about one hour of wet cleaning. The site recommended using wet cleaning on "very smooth floors with a pattern that masks stains, and before wet cleaning with this robot, the floors must be thoroughly cleaned of debris (with the same robot, for example), since wet debris adheres to the walls of the brush compartment in a crust that is difficult to remove and container compartments.The napkin was automatically wetted with water coming from the container.

Regardless of the type of cleaning, the noise level of the vacuum cleaner during operation was not high: measurements showed a noise level of 56 dBa.

The use of two side brushes in the design of the vacuum cleaner increased the efficiency of cleaning.

When the battery was low, the robot vacuum cleaner reduced its speed, turned off the cylindrical brush, and stopped sucking air. At the same time, the vacuum cleaner began to search for the base. When parking at the base, the vacuum cleaner started charging. Full charge time 4 hours. Charging the vacuum cleaner could be done in two modes. In the first, the vacuum cleaner parked itself on the docking station. For reliable contact, there were two contact pads on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner, much larger than the contacts of the docking station. The second mode provided for manual connection of the charger plug. In the latter case, the vacuum cleaner required manual disconnection from charging before work.

The control panel, which was included in the package, made it possible to program the daily cleaning mode: at a certain time, the vacuum cleaner started cleaning on its own. In addition, using the remote control, it was possible to select the operating mode of the vacuum cleaner (one of three) or control its movement (forward-backward, left-right).

Robot functionality

The model supports five cleaning modes:

Auto. The movement of the vacuum cleaner in a straight line, when colliding with furniture or other objects, the unit changes the direction vector. Cleaning continues until the battery is discharged, after which the vacuum cleaner returns to the base. Mode selection is possible in two ways: the "Auto" button on the robot panel, "Clean" - on the remote control.

Manual. Remote control of the autonomous assistant. You can manually direct the device to the most polluted areas - the remote control has "left" / "right" buttons.

Along the walls

Working in this mode, the robot pays special attention to the corners. The unit moves along four walls.

Local

The circular movement of the vacuum cleaner, the range of intensive cleaning is 0.5-1 m. You can move the robot to a contaminated area or direct it using the remote control, and then press the button with the spiral icon.

Time limit. Suitable for cleaning one room or compact apartments. PVC 0726W performs a normal pass in automatic mode, the work limit is 30 minutes.

To select the last function, you must double-click on the "Auto" button on the instrument case or "Clean" on the remote control.

Additionally, you can schedule a daily cleaning time using the "Plan" button. When the timer is set, the unit will automatically turn on at the set time.

Cleaning the robot and charging

The developers have well thought out the system of brushes and dust collection. The garbage container has no latches and is easily removed from the vacuum cleaner body. A two-sided brush for cleaning filters is fixed on its top cover. There are two of them in the container - primary, located inside the container and HERA fine cleaning. Everything is easy to take apart and wash.

You can even remove the rotating brush unit and take it apart for thorough washing and rinsing. The only thing is that the spiral brush has natural bristles and takes a long time to dry.

As for the operating time, our tests showed about 2.5 hours of continuous operation from a single charge, which can be called a record.At the same time, it takes about 2 hours to charge the battery of the robot.

Of the minuses, we note that before installing the device on the charging station, it must be turned on. The robot will notify by voice about the beginning of charging and its end. If at the same time you forgot to put a dust container in the body, the robot will warn about this

The end of charging can come late at night, and the robot will cheerfully inform you about this important event in a melodious female voice. Therefore, it is better to charge the vacuum cleaner during the day.

The cost of such devices can reach 80,000 rubles, but their efficiency is not much different from simple robots, endowed with typical motion algorithms.

The most important component of modern cleaning robots is a system of sensors, thanks to which their orientation inside the premises is carried out. Thus, non-contact obstacle sensors, consisting of an infrared radiation source and a reflected signal magnitude meter, allow the robot to stop 1-5 cm from an obstacle, thereby protecting its body and furniture from scratches. However, this sensor works well for high objects and almost does not see low ones located at a height of 2-4 cm from the floor.

Infrared sensors located on the bottom plane do not allow the device to fall down the stairs. But sometimes such sensors do not allow the robot to drive onto a black mat, which the automation perceives as an abyss.

Advantages and disadvantages

Polaris PVCR 0926W EVO certainly has a number of undeniable advantages:

1. The device is beautiful, has small overall dimensions.
2. The battery is powerful enough to last a long time.
3. Installation on the charging station is automatic, but you can also put the device on charge manually by connecting it directly to the network through the power supply.

Disadvantages of a robot vacuum cleaner (taking into account its price):
