Pump "spring" for wells and wells: characteristics, device and reviews

Disadvantages of the Vibratory Pump "Brook"

One of the disadvantages of the Brook vibration pump is a loud sound during operation. If you use it only for watering, you can put up with it. But if you use fountain pump, overflow or circulation of water in the pool, the hum of the pump will interfere and annoy. For these purposes, it is better to use pumps of a different type.

With the help of "Stream 1" you can download only part of the water above the suction hole. It will not be possible to completely pump out water from the tank.

Adapters and quick-release fasteners are not provided for connecting the hose. The hose connector has a round section (some models have notches), so the hose often disconnects due to vibrations. You have to crimp it with a knitting wire or a clamp. Disconnecting the hose is then problematic.

The pump device does not provide for automatic shutdown. The user himself has to monitor the water level. "Brook" is cooled by the water in which it is located. If the pump runs idle, it quickly heats up and fails.

Float device for automatic shutdown can be purchased separately. Many owners make their own.

Of course, it will not be possible to solve all problems with its help. To pump water and other liquids in large volumes, you will need a more powerful pump.

The water supply of a country house and the provision of high-quality irrigation of the area adjacent to it is a topic that excites any person who spends part of his life outside the city. For this purpose, various devices and devices are used, including the Rucheek submersible pump, known since Soviet times, whose technical characteristics are quite consistent with many modern and "advanced" analogues.

With its low power, averaging 225-300 W, and the minimum price (1300-2100 rubles, depending on the model), the Brook water pump is quite capable of providing water to a small family of 2-3 people, as well as watering a summer cottage with an area of 6 -12 acres.

The vibration pump can also be used for purposes such as:

Pumping water from pools, basements and various containers.

Most often, the problem of flooding of premises located on the lower tiers residential buildings and household structures, occurs during the spring flood, when underground groundwater rises especially high. Since they practically do not have solid impurities in their composition, they can be pumped out using a submersible vibration pump Brook.

The filter for the pump Brook is a special device that has the shape of a cap, which is worn on the receiving part of the pump. This procedure is best done after the pump has warmed up.

Filling the heating system before starting it.

This manipulation is carried out in the absence of the possibility of connecting to a centralized heating system at this stage of construction. The process itself looks like this:

- Water is delivered to the house in a barrel, into which a hose from the pump is inserted.

- The second hose connects to the radiator drain cock.

— The tap opens at the same time as the pump starts.

- The system is filled using a pressure gauge until the pressure in it reaches the desired level.

1 Device: design features and basic parameters

Vibratory pumps have served man since Soviet times. Their output today exceeds 1 million pieces per year, while the need for them has not yet been exhausted. Ease of use, affordable price and stable quality - allow you to compete in the market of pumping equipment with foreign-made units.

Assembly of the vibration pump Brook

1.1 What is the design of the Brook pump?

The vibration pump consists of the following elements:

  • electromagnet;
  • frame;
  • vibrator;
  • electric drive;
  • retainer;
  • screws, washers, nuts;
  • sleeve;
  • clutch.

The design of the Creek has a classic layout - the electric drive is located below, and the suction holes are on top. This allows for better cooling, to exclude the intake of impurities from the bottom. The unit works without problems for a long time in the immersed state with the suction holes open to the air.

The electromagnet, placed under the body, is formed from a winding and a U-shaped core, the material of which is the steel of an electrical leaflet. The winding consists of 2 coils connected in series. The coil and winding are potted with a compound that provides insulation, heat dissipation from the coils and fixing.

The housing protects the valve installed in it from mechanical damage, the role of which is to close the inlets. When there is no pressure, the liquid flows freely through a special gap with a diameter of 0.6 mm to 0.8.

The anchor and the rod pressed into it form a vibrator. A shock absorber is placed on the rod, a rubber spring rigidly fastened to the shaft with two nuts.

1.2 Pump parameters and advantages

On most models, the nominal flow is 0.12 l / s and the nominal head is 40 m. The horizontal distance that the Brook can transport water is 100 m. 1-1.5 cu. m per hour. The power consumed by the pump varies between 180-300 watts. The maximum current is 3.5 A, while the consumption is practically not exceeded by the starting one.

The temperature of the pumped medium must not exceed 35 degrees Celsius.The pump is designed to operate with non-aggressive water, the permissible contamination is 0.001%. To provide the unit with the required parameters, it is recommended to complete it with hoses with an inner diameter of 19 mm or more. The use of hoses with a smaller section increases the likelihood of overloading during pump operation, loss of performance, and breakdown.

Among the advantages of the pump are:

  1. Consumer oriented price. The cost of the hydraulic apparatus for a long time remains available to the average buyer.
  2. Ease of use, portability. The weight of the device, not exceeding 4 kg, contributes to its easy transportation and use in any tank.
  3. Ease of use. The hydraulic machine does not contain any electric motors, rotating elements, is not picky about maintenance, and does not need preventive measures. Repair of a vibration pump is not difficult to make.
  4. Profitability. To raise 1 cubic meter from a 10-meter depth, 0.2 kW of electricity is enough.
  5. Versatility of application. The pump copes with the supply of water to the house, pumping out liquid from flooded basements, sewers, and watering summer cottages. It is used for deepening and cleaning wells. The resource of the device, of course, will decrease.

1.3 How the product works

When the unit is connected to a power supply with a mains voltage of 50 Hz, the armature is attracted to the core. Every half period, it is thrown back by the shock absorber. Thus, for 1 period of the current wave, the attraction of the armature occurs twice. Therefore, in 1 second it is attracted a hundred times. There is also frequent vibration of the piston located on the rod with the anchor.

Stream pump without housing

Due to the volume limited by the valve and piston, a hydraulic chamber is formed. Actions in it are springy due to the elasticity of the pumped medium containing dissolved air, and the vibrations of the piston. While the water is pushed into the pressure pipe, and the spring is unclenched-compressed, the valve ensures the entry of liquid and through the suction holes - its exit.

The Brook pump in the kit has a nylon cable used for its fastening and installation. The cable protects the consumer from electric shock in the event of insulation breakdown, as it does not conduct current.

Specifications

As already mentioned, Malysh submersible pumps have low power - mostly about 250 W, that is, he cannot create high pressure. Their clones with other names can be found slightly more powerful.

What is also important - the lifting height - this is how far water can be pumped. In the technical specifications, it should be more than the one you need by about 20%

Pay attention to the power supply for which this model is designed. Usually it is 200 V with possible small deviations of the order of 5%, but the reality is that there can be 240 V in the network, and at this voltage a pump with such characteristics will burn out

The way out is to install a stabilizer or look for a model with a higher operating voltage (a decrease from the worker does not have such a negative effect on work - the power decreases).

The length of the electric cable can be from 10 meters to 40

Another important indicator is performance. It is usually specified in liters per minute or per second.This value shows how much water the unit is able to pump under normal conditions. For this type of equipment, this figure is quite small - about 400 ml / s. Such a submersible pump Malysh can provide water to one point of water intake - one irrigation hose or faucet in the house. It is not capable of anything more without additional equipment.

Features of use and installation of pumps of the "Rodnichok" series

Pumps of this series differ in high reliability. An important role is played by the presence of a thermal protection device, which ensures that the electrical part is turned off when heated to critical temperatures.

In addition, experts note the following features of these pumping units:

Features of the installation of pumps of the Rodnichok series

  • The normalized immersion depth is 10 meters, but the strength characteristics of the hull allow it to be used at great depths. True, such modes of operation should not be abused, this can reduce the durability of the device, in addition, at a considerable depth, a decrease in pump performance is observed.
  • Do not use devices for pumping hot water, the maximum temperature of the liquid should not exceed 40 degrees.
  • In general, the Rodnichok well pump can be operated in a long-term mode with frequent starts. During the day, it is recommended to use the unit for no more than 12 hours, while every 2 hours it is worth turning off the unit for 10-20 minutes, this will ensure durability guaranteed by the manufacturer.
  • Before installing the pump in the well, it is necessary to put a rubber protective ring on the casing, which will prevent contact with the casing or well walls.
  • The diameter of the unit is 100 mm, so the pump can be operated in wells with a cross section of at least 120-125 mm.
  • To suspend the pump, a regular string or cable is used; additional fastening is not required.The light weight of the pump (3.5 kg) greatly simplifies the process of lifting from the water source for preventive maintenance and repair work.
  • The unit is equipped with a power cord 16 meters long, if necessary, it can be extended. In this case, it is worthwhile to ensure that the junction is not in the water, this can cause the safety shutdown devices to trip.
  • You can buy a Rodnichok water pump for 1200-1700 rubles (the cost depends on the modification).
  • For lowering and raising the pump, only the fastening cord must be used; lifting with the power cable or pressure hose is prohibited. It is recommended to fasten the power cable to the pressure hose using special clamps, this will prevent the wire from tangling around the pump housing, which can lead to jamming of the device when lifting.
  • It is recommended to operate in conjunction with a storage (expansion) tank and automatic control systems.

The cost of the pump pays off within 1-2 years of operation. Therefore, be sure to consider purchasing a Rodnichok pump to organize an autonomous water supply system at home.

Model range and manufacturers

Initially, "Rodnichok" was developed for industrial purposes. But given that powerful pumps of this type need a lot of electricity, the developers decided to focus on the private consumer.

As a result, a compact model of a vibrating submersible type was created, which is still successfully used in everyday life.

To date, the official manufacturer of the classic Rodnichok pump is UZBI - the Ural Plant of Household Products, which produces two pump modifications:

  • "Rodnichok" BV-0.12-63-U - version with an upper water intake;
  • "Rodnichok" BV-0.12-63-U - a variant with a lower water intake.

Both models can be equipped with a 10m, 16m, 20m or 25m power cord.

Also, the Moscow plant Zubr-OVK CJSC is engaged in the production of Rodnichok pumps, producing a model called Rodnichok ZNVP-300, which is not much different from the classic electric pumps produced by UZBI.

Vibratory submersible pumps for domestic use, manufactured under the brand name "Rodnichok" comply with GOST and are reliable, safe and durable equipment

Considering that the “Rodnichok” pump is not as well-known and popularly loved as the same “Baby”, it is extremely rare to find its fakes.

The affordable price of the electric pump is explained by the simplicity of its design and the use of only Russian parts for its production.

Inexpensive, but extremely durable vibration pumps are ideal for drawing water from country wells. In the organization of permanent autonomous water supply systems, they are used much less frequently.

The installation of the pump unit is extremely simple: a pressure pipe is connected to the pump nozzle (1) through the check valve, a fixing nylon cord is threaded through the lugs (2)

In order to fix the position of the cable, it is attached to the pressure pipe with tape. The first hitch (3) is 20 -30 cm from the nozzle, following every 1.0 - 1.2 m

In order to leave the distance indicated by the manufacturer between the bottom of the well and the bottom of the pump, as well as the top of the unit and the water mirror, a bright mark must be made on the pressure pipe before immersion in water

In order for the vibration pump not to hit the walls of the well during pumping water, it is better to place it in the center of the working

For normal operation of the vibrator in the well, it is necessary that the inner diameter of its casing is 10 cm larger than the maximum diameter of the pump

So that the vibration unit does not hit the well casing during operation, it is equipped with protective rings from a hose or rubber rolled into a tube

The rubber rings working as shock absorbers must be changed periodically, because. they rub against the walls of the well

Pump device

The internal design of the Brook pump can be divided into two parts - mechanical and electrical. The main component of the electrical part is an electromagnet, which is a U-shaped core with magnetic properties. It consists of steel plates with clad electromagnetic coils. They are covered with copper wire. All elements are located in a copper case filled with epoxy resin.The functions of the resin are the reliable fixation of the electromagnet in the housing with the simultaneous efficient removal of heat energy during the operation of the Rucheyok pump.

Pump "Rodnichok" - technical characteristics, principle of operation and consumer reviews

The mechanical part is called a vibrator, it consists of a rod, an anchor and a shock absorber. The anchor is based on electrical steel, the function of shock absorbers is performed by rubber washers. It is on their quality that the performance of the vibrating pump "Brook" depends. The coupling is designed to isolate the chamber where the water is located from the electrical sector of the mechanism. The diaphragm inside the coupling has a guiding and fixing effect on the stem.

Spring water enters through the suction chamber into the discharge chamber, from where it subsequently moves into the pipeline. The check valve has the shape of a mushroom, it passes the liquid into the "Trickle" pump and prevents it from pouring back.

Comment! It is important to monitor the elastic state of the check valve. Deterioration of its characteristics will lead to loose closure of the inlet and reverse leakage of water.

In the mechanical part of the pump "Brook" there is also a rubber piston with a nut and channels for pumping water. Operation of the unit in a dirty environment leads to a quick failure of the rubber piston and check valve.

Self troubleshooting

Some problems can be fixed without the help of specialists.

Weak water supply

Poor supply (weak or jerky flow) is most often caused by using the wrong inlet hose. When liquid is sucked from the well, rarefied air is formed inside the rubber hoses, which causes compression of the walls. This interferes with the normal flow of water. A hose reinforced with a plastic spiral is recommended for the unit.

For water intake, a hose reinforced with a plastic spiral is used.

Oil seal replacement

The current repair of the pump is associated with the replacement of seals, because if they fail, then leaks begin in the drainage hole.

Let's see how they replace by hand.

In the diagram, red dots indicate the location of the bolts that should be unscrewed.

  1. We unscrew the three bolts located on top of the case, and remove the casing.
  2. We unscrew 4 bolts in the electric motor.
  3. Remove the motor housing.
  4. Disconnect the snail by unscrewing 4 bolts.
  5. Remove the rubber pad.
  6. We unscrew the nut that holds the impeller.
  7. We take out the armature axis from the impeller (if it doesn’t get it, “help” by hitting the armature axis with a hammer).
  8. When the armature with the bearing comes out of the housing, find the oil seals in the impeller.
  9. Take them out so as not to damage the insert between them.
  10. Install new oil seals, separating them with an insert, and assemble the unit in reverse order.

If Agidel pumps are used in accordance with the instructions, they work stably and require only periodic cleaning and lubrication of parts.

Big capacity of a small unit

Of course, a brook deep pump will not solve some global problems such as water supply for a large house, because it has an average power of 150 to 225 W. But it will help with many problems.

Water supply to the house

At the dacha or in a private house, these units quite tolerably cope with the supply of water. True, the owners will not be able to take a bath, wash and wash the dishes at the same time, because the seven liters per minute that the pump is capable of delivering is not enough for all these needs. But if you use it locally, in one place, then the pressure will be enough for both showering and washing.True, the pressure directly depends on the depth of the water resource. And the higher this figure, the lower the feed force will be.

Using the "Brook", summer residents conduct water into the house

On the right - a tap for connecting to hoses from the well, on the left - an outlet for a watering hose

Temporary replacement of the main pump

Some owners who use more powerful equipment in their home water supply buy brook water pumps for insurance. After all, any device has breakdowns, and if the main unit suddenly breaks down, then more than one day will pass until the cause of the breakdown is found out and taken for repair. And then a spare version of the pump will come in handy, which will not give out large volumes of water, but it will fit perfectly to meet basic needs.

Use in slow-filling springs

When digging a well or drilling a well, you never know how quickly the water level can recover after intensive use. One source will do it instantly, and the second will take hours to update. But for some reason, when buying pumps, this factor is forgotten, and there are situations when a powerful unit pumps out water faster than it can be replenished. In such a situation, having dried up the source to the bottom, the system will automatically turn off and you will have to restart it. In addition, with rapid sampling, the likelihood of clouding increases. Therefore, for sources with a weak level of recovery, it is better to take the Brook pump, which has a lower intake intensity, but it will work stably.

The stream pump is suitable for wells with a pipe diameter of 100 mm

Clogged well restoration

Some wells, when used intermittently, tend to be washed out, which reduces the water level and the possibility of its rapid renewal during pumping. You can try to reanimate the system using the "Brook". Of course, it will not change the quality of water, but it will increase the volume.

To do this, lower the pump as close to the filter as possible and turn it on. The vibrating mechanism will knock out hard layers from the filter, and then lift them to the surface. A couple of such attempts - and the well will come in order.

By the way, during resuscitation there is no need to stand over the well. Due to the small capacity of the water pumps, the stream still does not completely pump out the water. So at this time you can do watering the garden. At the same time, you will see if the quality of the water and its volume change: the jet from the hose will become stronger and free of impurities.

Pumping water from flooded premises

Spring floods often "please" summer residents with flooded basements, cellars and inspection pits in garages. It is difficult to carry large volumes of water with buckets, but with the help of a pump it can be removed slowly but surely. Moreover, this procedure is not one day. Drainage water is usually clean, so there will be no problems with pumping.

Filling a new heating system

During the construction of private houses, the heating system is sometimes created before they are connected to the water supply. In this case, you need to somehow fill the pipes. They do this: they bring water in a barrel, insert a hose from the pump into it, and the second one is connected to the drain valve of the batteries. Open the valve and start the unit. While the system is filling, look at the pressure gauge to determine when the pressure rises to the desired level.

Analysis of technical characteristics

Vibratory pumping devices "Rodnichok" are designed for pumping clean and slightly polluted water. The allowable size of solids in the pumped liquid must not exceed 2 mm.

Unit performance

The pump is great for water supply of 2-storey houses, because. the maximum pressure given out by the equipment is 55 - 60 m.

Pump "Rodnichok" - technical characteristics, principle of operation and consumer reviews
Before starting the pump, carefully inspect the casing in order to detect mechanical damage. Particularly meticulously should examine the condition of the power cable and network connector

It is allowed to use a pump for pumping soapy water, it is also in a chlorinated state from artificial reservoirs.

The unit can pump water from flooded private river boats and basements. Approved for draining containers.

The productivity of the “Rodnichok” pump is approximately 432 l / h, which allows uninterrupted supply of water to several water-consuming points at once.

The performance of the electric pump directly depends on the height of the water supply. The maximum immersion depth specified by the manufacturer is 5 m, however, thanks to the robust housing, the pump can be successfully used at a depth of 10 m and even more.

Pump "Rodnichok" - technical characteristics, principle of operation and consumer reviews
The spring is intended for intake and transportation of water with a slight degree of pollution. The pump can supply water to a height of 55 - 60 m

“Rodnichok” is designed for use at ambient temperatures from +3 °C to + 40 °C. The weight of the unit is only 4 kg, making it mobile and easy to install.

The overall dimensions of the pump do not exceed 250 x 110 x 300 mm, which makes it possible to operate it in narrow wells and wells with a diameter of more than 12 cm.

If such a cable is not included in the kit, then it must be purchased separately. Lowering the electric pump using the power cord is strictly prohibited!

Water intake options

Pumps "Rodnichok" are produced in two variations: with upper and lower water intake. In the first case, the suction pipe is located at the top of the housing, in the second - from the bottom. Each model has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages of a pumping device with an upper intake:

  • continuous provision of cooling of the pump casing, which means a longer period of operation;
  • there is no suction of bottom sediments, which means that the optimal quality of the supplied water is ensured;
  • the pump does not suck in sludge, therefore, it needs less frequent cleaning.

The disadvantages of modifications with an upper intake include the inability to pump out water to the end, but only to the point where the inlet pipe is located. This is inconvenient if the unit is used to pump water from flooded visits, pools, boats.

The “Rodnichok” electric pump with a lower water intake, on the contrary, is capable of pumping liquid to a minimum level.

The negative side of a pump with a lower intake can be considered the possibility of capturing bottom sediments, which means that such a pump will quickly become clogged, which will lead to its failure.

When choosing the “Rodnichok” electric pump, it is necessary to decide in advance in what conditions it will have to work.If the pump is purchased to supply water from water intakes, a well or a well, then preference should be given to equipment with an upper intake.

If an electric pump is needed for pumping flood water from flooded premises, draining tanks, eliminating the consequences of utility accidents, then a model with a lower intake is the best choice.

If you find it difficult to make a choice, we recommend that you read our article with tips on choosing pumps for wells.

A pump with a lower intake can be operated in a well and a well, but it must be suspended so that the suction hole is located at some distance from the bottom

Features and disadvantages

Apart from the characteristics, it is fundamentally important to study all the probable pros and cons of the unit. It allows you to make the right choice

So, the benefits include:

  • affordable price;
  • work with polluted water (impurities in the form of sand or silt);
  • efficiency (low power consumption);
  • double insulation;
  • high power of pressure;
  • the possibility of arranging several points of water intake;
  • check valve;
  • ease of operation and maintenance;
  • application at a depth of 10 meters or more.

The list of shortcomings is much smaller, but it is also fundamentally important to take them into account:

  • short length of the power cable;
  • use in only new wells (due to increased vibration, dilapidated rings will crack);
  • enormous sensitivity to voltage drops (it is recommended to use a power supply stabilizer, which leads to additional costs);
  • strong vibrations raise sand from the bottom, so the pump is used only for upper water intake.
