Ideally, pipes run straight, turns should be avoided or, if this is not possible, they should be made as gentle as possible. In the presence of joints between pipes, soldered, welded or adhesive joints are made. Their quality must be high so that subsequently there is no leak.
If the pump will have to lift the drains up and it is planned to equip a vertically standing outlet, it should be located at a distance of no more than 0.3 m from the outlet of the device.
Only in this case the device will be able to function normally. The connection of the pipe leaving the toilet bowl with the pump is carried out using a corrugation. In this case, it is imperative to equip it so that the inlet pipe of the pump is located lower than the outlet pipe from the toilet. In addition, it is necessary to provide the necessary slope for the drain pipe so that the drains move by gravity.

The pump with a chopper for the toilet is volatile, therefore it requires an electrical connection. For safety reasons, this should only be done through the RCD.
The next step is the arrangement of ventilation. This procedure is necessary for models without carbon filter, the design of which provides for a special ventilation outlet. The pipe must be brought out above the ridge on the roof of the house. If this seems like too much trouble, you should choose a model with a replaceable charcoal filter that will trap all unpleasant odors. But in this case, the cartridge will have to be changed regularly.
The pump must be powered. For models with a plug, you will need to install an individual outlet, the cable to which is laid from the RCD and the shield. If the device does not have a plug, the connection is made directly from the mains through a 30 mA RCD. After that, you can conduct a test run of the device. The principle of operation of the grinder pump
The model for cold drains is presented in a compact box with a chopper-pump hidden inside. The design involves its installation behind the pedestal of the drain tank, but traditionally the box is hidden in the wall so that the view does not violate the aesthetics of the design. The pump requires only an outlet and an electrical outlet to operate.
