Polypropylene bags are packaging for transportation, which is distinguished by its reliability, versatility and economy. They are used in the food industry, trade, construction and even in household chores.
What are the advantages of PP bags?
- Minimum weight. The bag, which can support up to 50 kg, weighs about 100 grams on its own. Thanks to this, it is possible to transport large volumes of cargo without increasing the total weight of the package;
- Compactness. An empty bag can be rolled up into a tube - so it takes up almost no space. And if you compare them with plastic containers or boxes, durable polypropylene bags win by all criteria;
- Cheapness. The cost of raw materials is so low that most construction and food companies use this type of packaging;
- Strength. Polypropylene canvas is not only not afraid of temperature fluctuations, but also does not corrode, is not damaged under the influence of the external environment and chemicals.
Classification of polypropylene bags by purpose
In this category, bags can be divided into 3 groups:
- Bags for waste and garbage. They are also called household, as they are filled with construction or household waste. They are yellow and green. The main manufacturer and wholesaler is China.In no case should such bags be used for food products, but they are ideal for transporting building materials.
- Food bags. They are made from primary raw materials, without the addition of dyes and are not dangerous in terms of ecology. As a rule, they are white in color, on which a logo can be easily applied - it is easily visible on a white canvas.
- Technical bags. These are strong, durable bags that are used to pack and store cereals, animal feed and mineral fertilizers. In addition to primary raw materials, the composition contains a small percentage of secondary raw materials.
Classification of PP bags by composition
Bags are made from polypropylene granules, which are of different quality. It depends on them what future bags will be.
Virgin polypropylene is of the best quality, non-toxic and durable. Excellent for use in the food industry, such as sugar packaging.
Recycled PP is obtained by recycling used, obsolete polypropylene products. This raw material is not environmentally friendly and is not suitable for food products, but is constantly used for packaging building materials, garbage, etc.
There is also a variety by payload: There are bags that can hold 5 kg, 10 kg, 25 kg, 50 kg and 70 kg. Each of them has its own size and purpose.
