Installing the instrument in a humid environment
Such, for example, are convectors of the KO and KVO types, with a water drainage system. When installing them, make sure that the tube at the bottom of the channel is connected to the sewer system. Wet convectors are not supplied with adjusting bolts and must be installed vertically with the necessary supports.
Basically, convectors are regulated according to the following two principles:
- By adjusting the temperature of the heat carrier (convectors without a fan)
- By adjusting the fan speed with the room thermostat.
Installing a thermostat
- The thermostat is installed at a height of about 1.5 m from the floor in a place where the average room temperature is observed.
- To ensure proper room temperature control, it is recommended to install the thermostat away from heat sources, drafts or very cold places.
- To ensure the measurement of the average temperature in the room, the thermostat is installed on the surface of the walls.
Wiring systems and measurement of power cables
- The two-core power cable to convectors energized at 12V must be measured taking into account the voltage drop for currents up to 16A
- To connect an individual convector to one T100 transformer, use a 2x2.5mm cable
- Transformers should be located in a junction box or in a switchboard as close as possible to the convectors in order to avoid voltage drops. The maximum allowable voltage drop is up to 2 V, and the distance is up to 30 m.
- Electrical equipment may only be installed by workers who have completed a course in accordance with current regulations and are suitably qualified, following all instructions in the design documentation and these installation instructions.
Low-H2O heat exchangers in Jaga convectors

All convectors of this brand have a special heat exchanger, which is manufactured using Low-H2O technology. This production method ensures the stability and performance of the heating equipment. A high level of heat transfer is successfully combined with a low content of the working medium, which is water. In addition to these features, Yaga devices have the following positive features:
- low weight: thanks to this, the process of transportation, installation of devices is simplified;
- prompt response to temperature changes in the room;
- resistance of the heat exchanger to the formation of corrosion;
- durability of convectors.
The durability of the Jaga devices is ensured by the fact that the heat exchanger is made of copper with aluminum fins, as well as with brass manifolds. Thus, even after a long service life, the device does not overgrow with deposits. The Jaga convector is able to work for a long time without breakdowns. Heating devices perfectly suit our operating conditions. Installation of Yaga devices takes very little time.
Kinds
Despite the fact that the principle of operation is approximately the same for many models, they are divided into three types, namely: water, gas and electric.
Water
Such heaters have a basic structure and are connected to the heating system. Due to the fact that the heating element treats water, the temperature can reach +50…60°С. If we compare a water convector with a radiator, then the smaller amount of coolant that is required can be called an advantage.
Gas
They differ in their structure. In addition to the heat exchanger, under the body of such heaters there is also a smoke exhaust system, a burner, a combination valve (it determines the gas pressure in the unit) and an automation system. This system monitors the operation of the burner and the chimney and, in the event of a system failure, switches it off. The gas on which these types of equipment operate can be bottled or main. Due to the fact that fuel must be purchased separately, the cost of such floor heaters is low.
Electrical
They are special in that they do not need to be connected to any pipeline, which makes installation much easier.And also the difference from other types can be called the fact that the electric convector has more functions. Do not forget that there is no combustion of fuel. This makes the device environmentally friendly.
Power is supplied through the mains with a voltage of 220 V. The set may include wheels on which you can move the device. This adds portability compared to ceiling and wall mounted heaters. If your device is powerful, then it can heat several rooms in series. Among the additional functions that this type of heater has are the anti-freeze function, overheat protection and tip-over protection.
The system of protection against drops in the network makes a very big difference. Gas and water counterparts do not have a protection function in case of power supply failure, so the electric representative is safer. They are also best purchased in families with small children. In addition to being environmentally friendly, there is no way to stick your fingers or other objects into the grate. The material from which the casing and the protective device are made can also be of several types.
Steel
Steel cases are very durable, and the presence of a stainless coating increases service life and reduces wear. The bulk of the products are made from this material. The low weight and high heating area can also be called an advantage. Such a heater can supply heat even to trade pavilions. Another plus is that they are ideal for those people who have panoramic windows. Such equipment can be built into the floor, and it will not block the view from the windows.
Cast iron
Very strong, but at the same time fragile material. Heaters made of this material are much cheaper than those made of steel.If there is any heavy impact or damage, the case may begin to crack. But the advantage can be called the fact that heat is generated due not only to heat transfer, but also to thermal radiation. Outwardly, they look like old batteries that were connected to a water heating system. As a rule, they are installed in apartments, and adjustable legs allow them to be placed even under the window.
Bimetal
Such devices are made of several metals. They can combine the positive qualities of these metals, while complementing each other. For example, you can use a steel case, which is very strong and light, and make some components and parts from copper to improve thermal conductivity. This will speed up the heating process of the device and the overall amount of heat so that it spreads over a larger area. Such units, of course, will be more expensive, but they allow you to combine the positive characteristics of several materials.
Designer
Convectors that come under special order. Given the current trend in high-tech style, most of the models are made in it. The material may optionally be metallic on the outside
Attention is focused on not only warming with high quality, but also having an original appearance. The color palette can also differ from the usual white and black colors that are predominantly found in cast iron and steel models.
Application of floor convectors Jaga
Embedded convectors of the Jaga brand are indispensable when using such magnificent solutions of modern architecture in harsh domestic latitudes as windows from ceiling to floor or facade glazing of buildings.
They are also often bought to organize efficient heating in shopping centers and salons, office and residential buildings, shops and swimming pools, greenhouses, sports facilities, and so on. There are economical models of convectors that counteract the flow of cold air and protect the room from drafts. In autumn and spring, the presence of such high-tech devices hidden in the floor near windows and doors can completely dispense with the inclusion of centralized heating devices. More powerful versions of Jaga convectors can completely take over the task of heating the room in the winter.
General characteristics and features of floor convectors Jaga
In these heaters, revolutionary in terms of practicality and aesthetics, the only element visible to the eye is the upper grate: from the extensive range available, it is easy to choose the one that matches the type and color of the floor as closely as possible. Grilles are available in wood, aluminum and stainless steel and can be painted in 39 different shades.
These floor convectors feature the well-thought-out Low-H20 technology (the name literally translates as “little water”). It is an advanced heating technology concept combining increased heat output with low water usage. Units based on Low-H20 technology are noticeably lighter than other radiators, while reacting to changes in room temperature much faster. Since the heat exchangers of Jaga convectors are copper tubes with brass manifolds and aluminum fins, they are resistant to deposits and corrosion.The efficiency of these devices does not fall even with very long operation.
All floor convectors Jaga, produced by the Russian-Belgian joint venture, are intelligently adapted for safe and efficient use in domestic central heating systems. The original heat exchanger is guaranteed for 30 years, for the rest of the system - 10 years. The devices have a complete list of necessary accompanying documents: passport, specifications, certificate of conformity, installation instructions.

Water heating convectors with LOW H2O technology
This technology implies the use of a small amount of coolant by the device during operation. That is, for the high performance of a LOW H2O convector, much less water is needed than for a standard radiator made of aluminum or steel. The very name of the LOW H2O series can literally be translated as - little water.
If in conventional radiators the heating of the room occurs due to the release of heat by the entire surface of the battery, then in the convector, natural draft is created and cold air is mixed with hot air.

Knockonwood - the first convector with a wooden casing
What are the advantages of this water heating system?
There are several of them, but these advantages play a decisive role when choosing convectors:
1. High response to changes in air temperature. The heat exchanger of these devices is made of materials with high thermal conductivity - copper and aluminum. The volume of water in the heat exchangers of LOW H2O convectors contains about 1/10 of the heat carrier compared to traditional radiators. This fact allows you to absorb much less heat and save energy. To heat an office or residential space, you will need much less energy compared to the operation of cast-iron or steel radiators. The reaction speed to temperature changes is at least 3 times faster than a conventional radiator, which allows you to create optimal thermal comfort in the room.
2. The ability to choose the right size of the convector without compromising the heating of the room (due to the use of heat exchangers of various configurations).
3. Uniform distribution of warm air, which makes heat available anywhere in the room and is comfortable for the human body.
4. Many options for execution and finishing of the convector casing. The casing of the device can be traditionally made of steel, as well as other materials such as wood, MDF panels, marble chips. Moreover, an important feature of Jaga convectors is that the casing of the device never heats up above 43 degrees! This makes these devices absolutely safe when used in rooms with small children. Your child will never get burned and experience discomfort when touching the surface of the convector.But this fact does not mean that the room will be cold. A properly selected Jaga convector will easily heat your room by circulating air through a highly efficient copper-aluminum heat exchanger and evenly distributing heated air throughout the room.
5. Excellent build quality and reliability. It is this fact that enables the manufacturer to provide a 30-year warranty (!) For their heat exchangers.
