How to install everything correctly?
Installation of climate control equipment is also a crucial moment.
The quality of the work performed depends on:
- Efficiency, correct operation of individual components and the system as a whole.
- Safety. The control unit, sensors, and other components are powered by the electrical network, which, if installed incorrectly, can lead to sad consequences in the form of expensive equipment that has failed, electric shock, and even fire.
- Aesthetic properties of the premises. If the controls, other structural elements look like foreign objects in the room, this means that the work was done poorly.
Initially, it is necessary to determine how to solve the problem of creating comfort.
The scenario in demand today is the creation of an optimal microclimate by controlling radiators, underfloor heating, and air conditioning. For remote control, just install the application on your gadget
At the same time, the creation of a climate control system can be achieved in several ways:
- Connecting radiators, underfloor heating, air conditioning to one controller. This way of controlling the microclimate is the simplest, most convenient and effective - the user will only have to indicate his preferences and enjoy the benefits. But this option of creating a system is the most expensive, since many components are used.
- Connecting the listed heaters to one controller, air conditioning to another. This option is more reliable than the above, because if one controller fails, the second one will be able to perform its duties. At the same time, connecting an air conditioner may be the best solution only when the use of an external control unit makes it possible to expand its functionality.
- Connection of radiators, air conditioner to one controller, while the air conditioner is not connected to any control systems. This installation method is as reliable as the previous one, in addition, it is the most affordable. It is considered optimal when the air conditioner is equipped with an efficient internal control unit.
Moreover, the less expensive last method is often chosen, as a result, the user will have to install only heating equipment.
The basis of any system is the controller to which all structural elements are connected.The correct operation of all functions depends on the correctness of its choice.
Why would you need to purchase a set of equipment, including:
- controller;
- temperature sensors - one for each room;
- relay block;
- servos - one for each radiator, and for a warm floor the same number for each room, circuit;
- electrical cabinet with DIN rail, which can be DR-30-12.
In addition, you will need power wires, twisted pairs.
Then you can proceed to the installation itself, which involves the following steps:
- Installation of an electrical cabinet on which the controller and relay unit are located.
- Installation of servos. They are located on the coolant control combs or on each radiator.
- All servos are connected to the power cable, and those in turn to the controller.
- A temperature sensor is installed in each room (in the center), then it is connected to the relay using a twisted pair. If wireless products are to be used, a receive gateway will need to be installed.
After all of the above, verification and adjustment procedures are performed.
Recirculation mode
When you turn on the climate system, by default, it starts functioning in automatic mode, which assumes the distribution of air flow in such a way as to ensure that the temperature is maintained at a given level, separately for the left and right sides of the passenger compartment. If during the movement of the car the operating parameters of the climate system were set that were different from the initial ones, you can return to them by pressing the “AUTO” button (the yellow LED built into the key will light up).
This indicator is changed if for some reason this temperature does not suit the driver or passengers.It should be noted that climate control allows you to set the temperature within 16 - 29.5 degrees Celsius (61 - 86 degrees Fahrenheit), and these values are conditional - depending on external factors, they may slightly shift to one or another side.
This is facilitated by the installation of a solar radiation sensor. Disabling the automatic mode occurs when you press any of the control buttons, including the "ECON" button. But this does not mean that the climate control ceases to support the set operating parameters - it is simply considered that new values \u200b\u200bare set, which will be saved when the ignition is turned off after the car has stopped.
The main purpose of this mode is to prevent bad-smelling or heavily polluted outside air from entering the cabin. The mode is activated by pressing the button 13. The fact that the mode is on is signaled by the yellow lamp built into the key. Usually this mode is turned on when the car is in a traffic jam (to prevent exhaust gases from entering the passenger compartment) or when driving on a dirt road (in order to protect against dust penetration into the passenger compartment). The recirculation mode will be useful in cool weather, because in this case cold outside air will not be used.
At very high outside temperatures and low speeds, the auto recirculation mode will also be useful, since in this case, cooled cabin air will circulate instead of hot outside air.Note that when the recirculation mode is running for a long time, the humidity of the air rises, especially if there are several people in the car, which will lead to fogging of the windows.

Another innovation. When button 14 is pressed, the recirculation mode is turned on/off automatically, for which the system uses the readings from the air quality sensor. Its activation is indicated by a yellow light built into the key. Activation of this mode leads to the inclusion of recirculation in the following cases:
- if the sensor detects the presence of an increased concentration of harmful substances in the incoming air. When the level of harmful substances is reduced to the normative indicators, the recycling will be turned off;
- if the windshield defroster is on. In this case, recirculation will operate for 20 seconds, after which it will turn off.
Note that the air quality sensor is able to analyze the air only for the presence of certain harmful substances, it does not react to odors. In the latter case, you need to use button 13 to manually turn on the mode.
Smart home heating scheme and control systems, photo and video
A smart building under itself implies a resource-efficient office or retail building, which practically and correctly consumes all the sources of life improvement used. Smart home - heat supply, electrical energy and more, as well as a moderate impact on the external environment.
In other words, a building of this type is distinguished by the ideal production, storage and management of energy in a domestic project. Today, resource-efficient houses can be not only country houses, houses outside the city or equipped summer cottages, but also traditional apartments.
Type of smart home system
In conditions of sharp temperature changes throughout the year, the issue of heat supply to residential premises is quite important. Most residents complain that during cold weather, heating batteries provide very little heat, and when the heat comes, they heat to the fullest. In the end, what happens is that people overpay for what they do not need. If your heating system is in order, but you are not familiar with this not very pleasant phenomenon from hearsay, then it will not be out of place for you to learn about how the heating system in a smart home can be equipped.
Specifics of smart heat supply
The very concept of a smart home in relation to heat supply implies a comfortable living of a person in a consistently warm room with low price costs. This means that the heating system should also be designed so that there is no need to pay again for something that you do not use. However, for any arrangement, especially profitable heat supply and resource-efficient, it is just necessary to invest materially - but still it is necessary not to forget that such a decision will very soon be justified in full!
So, the use of automation for the operation of a smart home heating system is the basic principle for creating comfortable living conditions, and also for saving fuel, provided that the automation itself, along with the control components, is correctly selected and used. The same can exist in the case of joint productive activity of a heating boiler with a control center: with the help of a communication interface and boiler safety tools, heat supply is realized.
Heating circuit for a smart home
The system itself changes the temperature of the heat supply, looking at the indicators from specialized sensors in the room.
In particular, this option is suitable for a country house. The optimal solution here is the temperature adjustment of the heating heat carrier.
A promising direction in the organization
On the other hand, there are many other ways to organize heat supply in a smart home. For example, the system may be dependent on the weather outside the window. This approach assumes the presence of not only a sensor designed to measure the temperature specifically in the room, but also a sensor focused on external temperature indicators. To accurately maintain the operation of such heating, it is best to use two external meters.

Control management scheme
The operating principle of the respective controller is considered to be the curve of heat carrier temperature versus weather. In other words, when cold comes outside, the water in the system heats up, and when it is hot from the outside, it freezes. The mark of +20 on the Celsius scale can be taken as a base point for the heat carrier, so that at it the temperature of the system, figuratively speaking, is equal to the outside temperature, and the excess heat output and space heating ends.
To approximate the level of comfortable heat supply in a smart home, it is possible to adjust the heating so that the temperature of the apartment has local characteristics. In other words, in individual places it can be corrected in relation to that set by an external sensor.If there are many people in one of the rooms who, for real reasons, heat the room, the system can calculate the increase in temperature in this zone, compare it with the one set on the weather controller, and then divide the heat around the apartment in relation to adjusting the indicators in this room.
In a similar way, the provided arrangement of the heating system in a smart building can definitely be called a promising direction for creating comfort in your home and also reducing the monetary costs of paying for heat supply.

1 What is climate control
What is the climate system for? Structurally, this is a set of devices that measure the criteria of air in an apartment or house that maintain the established parameters. These criteria include:
- comfortable temperature;
- desired humidity;
- standardized chemical composition.
In order to eliminate the influence of negative factors, it is necessary to control all three components of the parameter.
Be sure to pay attention to the process of air movement in the room. You can add underfloor heating

Photo 1. The principle of microclimate control.
Let's analyze the principle of operation of the climate control system. It is based on monitoring information transmitted by installed devices to determine the required indicators. All air characteristics are collected and analyzed, after which the necessary control steps are carried out.
- 1. With the help of special drives, the control function regarding heating devices takes place.
- 2. Next in line is ventilation.Its control is based on the impact on the air valves installed on the ventilation elements.
- 3. Special regulators mounted on the supply air ducts affect the required supply of a certain amount of air.
- 4. Thermostats control the management of underfloor heating.
In principle, climate systems are divided into two groups.
- mechanical complexes. These are devices like a thermostat or regulator, used to switch or transfer thermal energy to maintain the desired temperature.
- Electronic complexes. A fairly diverse group of devices that contains automation or various sensors for better control of all systems included in climate control.
What can be attributed to the advantages and disadvantages of the operation of air conditioning systems.
- 1. Unlike an air conditioner, such a multifunctional device will not only be able to cool the room, but also carry out heating procedures in conjunction with the ventilation action. All three systems have the ability to work simultaneously or separately.
- 2. The principles of operation are based on changing indoor air criteria and responding to them in a timely manner by controlling a system.
- 3. The advantages include the simplicity of actions to influence the entire range of climate services, as well as the creation of maximum comfort when using additional features.
- 4. The key disadvantage is the likelihood of breakdown of the cooling system. This, in turn, leads to the failure of the heating system. You have to spend money financially.
Climate control control unit, system operating modes
The complex climate control system is controlled from a fairly simple panel, which is equipped with intuitive controls. In order to understand their purpose, you do not even need to look into the car's operating instructions. There is a manual and automatic climate control mode. Using manual mode implies knowing all the intricacies of the operation of the system equipment. Incorrect operation of the controls will shorten the life of the equipment.
Video: How does climate control work in a car?
In this mode, you can manually adjust the fan speed, air cooling and heating, air flow into the passenger compartment. Mostly manual mode is used when it is necessary to quickly heat or cool the air in the cabin. The automatic mode is used during a long trip. To do this, the driver only needs to turn on the system and set the required temperature. All procedures for adjusting dampers, distributing flows and their pressure are performed automatically by the system under the control of an electronic chip.
Many motorists do not use automatic mode for the sole reason that the fan makes a lot of noise. However, this is typical only for the initial stage of the system operation, when it intensively reaches the desired temperature and the fan operates at full load. Subsequently, when the control air temperature is reached, the system and the fan switch to the tracking mode, where the noise of the operating system is practically indistinguishable against the general noise background.
It must be borne in mind that in automatic mode, which is activated using the Auto button, the air conditioning pump continues to work regardless of the outside temperature. If it's cool outside and you want to save gas, you can switch to manual operation.
inverter air conditioners
Inverter split systems are a separate class of climate technology. A special motor with a control function is installed inside them, which allows it to regulate the compressor power. If conventional air conditioners constantly work with the same intensity, then these can, upon reaching a predetermined temperature threshold, reduce speed and simply maintain the temperature. This allows you to efficiently and quickly air-condition the room and at the same time save electrical energy.
inverter air conditioner
Such cut systems are not cheap, but all the best always has a good price. Since these devices do not constantly operate at their limits, they get an extended service life. This is also affected by the absence of constant switching on and off of the compressor.
What's the difference and why pay more
In order to finally decide which system is more optimal, it is worth examining the advantages and disadvantages of both of them.

If we talk about a mechanical or electric air conditioner, then it is much cheaper than climate control, provided that such equipment was provided in the car by default.
And if we add here the fuel consumption increasing by an average of 30%, the difficulty of replacing freon and the potential risk of getting a cold, then even such a plus as complete environmental safety does not add points to ordinary air conditioners.

Of course, the climate control does not have all of the above shortcomings, since it very quickly heats or cools the air to the optimum temperature and maintains these indicators for quite a long time.
Such an installation is capable of independently shutting down for strictly defined periods of time, continuing to maintain a predetermined temperature regime, which saves fuel.
And only one "but" makes motorists choose air conditioners more often than climate control - the price, which is 1.5 or even 2 times higher. Although, given the issue of savings, this difference is potentially payable in a very short time.
Choosing a place for the indoor unit
Let's start with the simplest: choosing a placement in terms of usability. The indoor unit must be placed so that the cooled air is distributed throughout the room, but does not fall directly on the bed, desk, armchair. In principle, it is possible to redirect the flow using movable shutters, but it is much better to think about it from the very beginning.
Options for the location of the indoor unit of the split system
The most correct decision in this case is to place the air conditioner above the head of the bed, above or to the side of the table. In this case, the flow of cold air will “flow around” the place of rest or work, which is much more comfortable and less hazardous to health.
In addition, there are technical points that must be foreseen before the installation of the air conditioner with your own hands is started.The indoor unit is connected to the outdoor unit using a copper pipe route and a control cable. The outlets for connecting the track are on the right (if you look at the block from the front), but they can be bent so that they are on the left or bottom. These outlets are copper tubes 30 cm long.
Outputs from the outdoor unit of the split system (rear view)
A route is connected to them (by soldering or flaring), and the junction must be accessible for maintenance. Therefore, this section of the route is not hidden into the wall (into the strobe), but is covered with a decorative box. At the same time, the track can be positioned in different ways - depending on which wall the indoor unit is hung on and where the outdoor unit is located in relation to it.
Block to the left of the outer wall
If the indoor unit is located to the left of the outer wall, and the tracks go straight, the minimum distance from the wall to the unit is 500 mm (1 picture in the photo). It can be reduced to 100 mm if the route is wrapped onto an adjacent wall, but its total length should not be less than 500 mm. If this is not possible, you can bring out the bends on the left and lay the pipes in the gate (figure on the right). In this case, this is possible, since the junction of the leads and the trace is obtained under the housing cover, so that it is accessible for repair and maintenance.
Options for laying the refrigerant route if the indoor unit of the air conditioner is located to the left of the outer wall
If cables, pipes, etc. cannot be pulled along the outer walls of the building. (in order not to spoil the appearance), you will have to lay the entire track indoors. A less expensive option is to hold it in the corner, closing it with special boxes. This arrangement is convenient, since then you can close the box with curtains.
Do-it-yourself air conditioning installation: if the track must be held indoors
The second option is more labor-intensive (it is more difficult to make a strobe), but from the aesthetic side it is more advantageous - this is to transfer the output to the left side panel and put everything into the recess made.
On the wall to the right of the outside
This option can be called typical - this is a standard solution when choosing such a location. most often, the route in the box is led directly into the wall, but if necessary, it can be lowered in the corner (also closed with a box).
Installation example of the indoor unit of the air conditioner on the right side of the outer wall
If necessary, you can put it in a strobe (the junction is in the body). If the route cannot be carried out outside the building, it can be laid in a strobe indoors. The track may look like the last two photos in the previous chapter.
