How to choose a tank for a summer shower: a comparison of different options with each other

Heated shower tank, what to choose plastic or metal?

Choosing a heating element

Teny for tanks choose "wet" type. That is, they are in direct contact with water, otherwise the device may burn out. Heating elements - "tubular electric heaters", are divided into two types.

  1. Open-type devices are made of hollow steel or copper tubes filled with heat-conducting substances (quartz sand or magnesium oxide). Inside the tubes is a nickel-chromium wire helix on the right.
  2. Closed type, in which the heating elements are insulated with special ceramic flasks of increased strength. They are made from magnesium silicate or steatite. Here, the heating of the liquid occurs from its contact with the flask.

The power used by the devices is usually in the range of 1200-4000 watts (the best option is 2 kW, voltage 220 volts). Heaters can be sold with a thermostat (thermostat) with an adjustment range of 40-80 ° C - this will be the best choice. The power of the device is indicated on the handset. The necessary information about power can be gleaned from the device passport. If we are talking about replacing an old heating element, but you cannot find the required power of the product, then you should choose a device of lower power

Heating elements made of different materials are different in quality and durability:

  • stainless steel - the most budgetary and short-lived option;
  • from copper - more powerful and more reliable in comparison with the previous version;
  • silver-plated products - resistant to scale, able to disinfect water, have a longer service life.

Types by scope

Plastic tanks are widely used in both domestic and industrial sectors. Depending on the design features of the material, design and appearance, they are used for:

  • transportation of food and non-food products;
  • storage of aggressive substances at industrial enterprises;
  • water treatment facilities;
  • irrigation systems;
  • water supply and storage systems.

Horizontal containers are usually used to store high-concentration reagents, while prismatic containers are used for fuel and water.

For water

Plastic tanks are widely used in the storage of drinking liquids.

Some models of tanks are provided with valves and taps that facilitate the intake of liquid and its consumption. The most modern models have a heating element, due to which the liquid is heated.

For garbage

The plastic container for garbage is used when sorting industrial, construction and household waste. They differ in shape, color and capacity. Regardless of the purpose, these tanks are resistant to water, ultraviolet and high temperatures. Such garbage cans are designed to collect municipal, household and industrial waste, as well as their storage. They are reliable, durable and have a long service life.

Thanks to this, the tank can be moved on the ground and even asphalt. As a rule, they are made airtight - this prevents debris from falling out during its movement.

Depending on the purpose, drives may have additional structural elements.

  • Lids. Tanks with hinged lids are made of high strength polypropylene. Such material is bioinert, it does not react with the main components of its contents, therefore it does not deteriorate. The lid prevents precipitation, UV rays, water and other adverse external factors from getting onto the waste.
  • Wheels. The presence of wheels greatly simplifies the use of plastic containers with lids, they can be easily moved along any horizontal or inclined surfaces. Depending on the design features and dimensions of the drive, they can have from 2 to 4 wheels. Each has a six-point fixation, which ensures the formation of a one-piece structure. The wheels are rubberized, this allows you to conveniently move the tank not only on the ground, but also on asphalt.
  • Pedal. Some garbage collectors have a pedal. When you press it, the lid rises and this greatly simplifies the process of using the container. Such models are widely used in everyday life.Usually the pedal is made of a steel bar of complex shape and fixed with bolts.

for toilet

Plastic containers are often used as mobile dry closets, pit latrines and septic tanks. Their benefits are obvious.

  • They are quite inexpensive, while they are resistant to corrosion and decay.
  • Everyone knows that plastic decomposes in nature for several centuries - in our case, this will only “play into the hands”.
  • All maintenance of the tank comes down to its periodic cleaning with water and the simplest detergent, no additional actions need to be performed.
  • Resistance to mechanical influences. According to this criterion, plastic is practically not inferior to metal.
  • Ensuring high tightness, the possibility of installation on soils of any type.

However, when installing the toilet, it should be borne in mind that, due to its low weight, a plastic sewer tank can float to the surface under the action of groundwater. If spring floods and prolonged rains are common in your area, you should additionally consider fixing the tank.

Other

Plastic can be used to store technical fluids, while the scope of their application is practically unlimited. They are in demand for:

  • arrangement of sewer units;
  • as septic tanks;
  • collection and storage of atmospheric precipitation and runoff water, creation of efficient irrigation systems;
  • summer shower installation;
  • arrangement of storage facilities in agriculture.

Allocate plastic bins for dirty laundry, in summer cottages they are used to prepare compost or hang instead of a washbasin.

Shower containers have become widespread. They have a volume of 150-200 liters and are used to perform hygiene procedures in a country house.Such tanks necessarily provide for the presence of a drain valve, a fixation system, as well as a connector for attaching a watering can.

Dimensions

While building a shower and installing a water tank, you need to decide on the size of the shower barrel and its shape. There are similar products of various shapes - ranging from rectangular models in the form of a parallelepiped, as well as ordinary tanks, ending with containers that have a flat bottom and a rounded top.

It is worth paying attention to flat models in the shape of a square, which will serve not only as a shower tank, but also act as the roof for the shower itself. When choosing a barrel, it should be remembered that the water in it will warm up much worse than in containers of a different configuration.

The blue and black color of the products allows the water to heat up faster under the rays of the sun.

The most popular shower tank sizes are 65, 100, 200 and even 300 liters. For a family of 3-4 people, it is better to choose a capacity of 200 liters. When choosing a product with a volume of 300 liters, it must be borne in mind that it is installed only on a sufficiently strong base that can withstand such a weight.

Having decided on the shape and size of the tank, you should choose the material for the tank. Usually plastic and metal are used for these purposes. Plastic shower containers are a very convenient, inexpensive and affordable material. From plastic create models of different shapes, volumes. The advantages of such containers include the following.

  • This material is not subject to corrosion.
  • Withstands temperature fluctuations. Only strong blows to it or very severe frosts can destroy such a product.
  • Such a container weighs a little, which makes it possible for self-assembly and removal if necessary.
  • The service life of products is 30-50 years.
  • Low price.

Metal products can be made of carbon "black" steel, galvanized iron and stainless steel. Carbon or "black" steel is more often used in the manufacture of flat containers. The disadvantage of such products is that they quickly begin to rust and require additional painting. Galvanized steel models are also popular, but they also have a similar disadvantage.

What is a shower tank?

To take a shower in a summer cottage or garden plot was comfortable, you need to choose the right shower tank. It should not give enough water at the same time, but at the same time, it should not be too heavy - the design of the country shower should easily withstand it.

Therefore, pay attention to several characteristics at once:

  • volume;
  • size and shape;
  • material.

Choice is never easyHow to choose a tank for a summer shower: a comparison of different options with each other

Volume selection

The minimum size of the shower tank is 50 liters. This amount of water is enough to quickly rinse one person. You should not count on long-term water procedures with such an amount of water. The maximum volume is 300 liters. But such a container can be installed on a solid foundation, so you must also choose the volume with an eye to the reliability of the design.

How to determine the volume of the shower tank? When calculating, it is worth taking a supply of water of about 50 liters per person. This is enough to "wash" without frills. It is clear that you want to have more water supply, but you need to remember that this supply will have to be heated. If the sun in the region is active in summer, problems can only arise in spring and autumn.You can also build a heating element into the tank, but we'll talk about heated tanks below.

Size and shape

In shape, there are rectangular shower tanks - in the form of parallelepipeds, there are ordinary barrels, there are with a flat bottom and a rounded top. The worst choice is barrels. Due to their design, the water in them warms up weakly, in any case, worse than in flat containers or with a convex top.

Variety of shapes and volumesHow to choose a tank for a summer shower: a comparison of different options with each other

Flat square tanks are also good because they can also serve as a roof for a summer shower. Then the dimensions of the frame should be slightly smaller than the dimensions of the container - so that it fits snugly on the support. This is how you can choose the size of the shower tank - first build a frame, and look for a container under it. But you can do the opposite - purchase a container and build the structure itself according to its dimensions. Although no one interferes, make a roof and put a container on it the way you want.

metal

The shower tank is made of metal and plastic. The metal can be structural, galvanized or stainless steel. The best one is stainless steel. They are durable, despite the fact that they are made of thin sheets - the wall thickness is usually 1-2 mm. It's all about the qualities of this material - it does not rust, which means it does not collapse. An exception can only be seams if they are welded by conventional welding (not in an inert gas environment). In these places, alloying materials burn out, the steel acquires its usual properties. The disadvantage of stainless steel shower tanks is their high price.

Stainless steel shower tank - durable optionHow to choose a tank for a summer shower: a comparison of different options with each other

Yield to containers stainless steel products galvanized. A layer of zinc protects the metal from destruction for some time, but, sooner or later, it rusts.To make the protection more durable, the galvanized steel tank can be painted. And this must be done from the inside and outside. Not the best solution, but slightly extends the life of the tank.

Structural steel tanks are the worst - they rust quickly. Here they are painted necessarily, annually updating the coating. These are the most inexpensive containers for water, but they do not last long, and the presence of a large amount of iron oxides in water does not affect the skin in the best way.

Plastic

Better in terms of operation plastic shower tanks. They are chemically neutral, do not react with water, do not rust. The only thing that can destroy them is a strong blow and frost. And then, there are polymers that can withstand temperatures down to -30 ° C. And if not, then the container must be removed for storage for the winter, because in winter you still won’t use the shower on the street.

Plastic shower tanks can have different shapesHow to choose a tank for a summer shower: a comparison of different options with each other

Another plus of plastic water tanks is that they are black, which is why the sun heats up more intensively. A metal tank can also be painted black, but the paint cracks and flies quite quickly, and plastics are tinted in bulk - the coloring pigment is added to the mass and the entire thickness of the material has the same color.

The next advantage is light weight. Despite the fact that the walls of the container are not thin, they weigh quite a bit. However, they also have a drawback - if we talk about flat square tanks, then the minimum volume is from 100 liters. You won't find less. There are miniature shower barrels - here they are from 50 liters.

Another operational point: when installing a large flat water tank on a roof without overlap, it is better to have several intersecting strips that will support the bottom. At the bottom, of course, there are stiffening ribs - thickenings of the same material, but it is better to have additional support.

How to install TEN?

If you want to have warm water even when it is cloudy outside, then in this case it is necessary to equip the plastic container of your shower with a heating element. First you need to choose the right one. For an outdoor shower, you can install a tubular electric heating element with a power of 2 kW.

Having a heated container, many summer residents are wondering how to ensure that the water does not cool down for a certain time. In other words, their main desire is to create a thermos tank so that there is an opportunity to save on electricity. There is a solution to this problem. For these purposes, you can use polyurethane foam.

To create a thermos tank for your summer soul you need to proceed as follows.

The first thing to do is to lay the container upside down. Next to it should be placed a box made of glassine.

There should be a space of no more than 100 mm between the tank and the steel box. The resulting gap must be filled with polyurethane foam.

If you do not want to spend material on this, then you can save money and lay pieces of foam. You should know that they must be completely submerged, and not remain on top.

After that, you can install the heating device in the tank.

An outdoor shower is a necessity in a summer cottage. With it, you can refresh yourself at any time on days when it is very hot.In order for you to have a full-fledged shower, you need to create a reliable design and install a plastic tank in which water will be stored. Its heating will occur due to a comfortable temperature. You should choose a quality container.

What form of tank to choose: round or flat - each owner decides for himself. However, you should be aware that flat heats up much faster due to its compact size.

When choosing a shower tank, you must take into account the climatic features of your area. If the number of sunny days during the summer period is small, then you should think about purchasing a heated tank.

Summer shower tray

Sometimes a septic tank is installed directly under the shower. In this case, the boards are laid with a gap of 3 mm. Water will flow down and fall directly into the drain hole. In sandy soil, water will not stagnate.

But for clay soil, this version of the septic tank is not suitable. To organize a normal drain, you need to dig a hole in another place. A pallet for building a septic tank can be bought at the store. The finished pallet must be selected based on the size of the future building. It is necessary to install bars around the entire perimeter, otherwise it will hang out.

The foundation can be laid out of bricks. At the bottom of the building you need to lay a layer of gravel 15 centimeters thick. After that, a drain pipe is installed. After the concrete hardens, you can continue the construction of the shower.

How to make a summer shower from a barrel with your own hands?

There are several ways to build an outdoor shower. The most durable are solid shower houses with walls made of polycarbonate or other suitable materials. To independently make a shower in the country, you must:

  • select a project;
  • make a drawing and indicate on it the size of the site itself and the parameters of the building;
  • find a suitable place for future construction;
  • make markup;
  • prepare the necessary tools and materials;
  • lay out the foundation.

Then it is desirable to carry out sewer pipes and make a drain. After that, the construction of the summer shower is installed. At the final stage, the barrel is installed and the water supply is connected.

How to install?

When installing the container on the shower, be sure to fix it, otherwise the barrel may simply fall from the surface. It is advisable to place the building itself in an open, unshaded place. Thanks to this, the water in the barrels on hot sunny days will heat up on its own without the use of heating devices.

If the container is mounted vertically, when installing the tank on the roof, supports for it should be provided in advance. For this, a small fence of boards is suitable, in which the container is installed and fixed

With horizontal fastening, it is important that the container simply does not roll away, so it is fixed with ordinary bricks. If the roof is flat, the tank is fixed on it with braces

In this case, strong cables, ropes are used, which are attached at the corners to racks or anchors.

How to fix?

Installing containers and fixing them is not a laborious task that requires special skills and knowledge.

When using a flat-shaped tank, it is enough to simply lay the container on the floor and align the nozzle with the roof hole. If there are side lugs, they are connected using a strong wire with rings on the roof or wall

It is important that the beams are strong enough to support the weight of a tank completely filled to the brim with water.
Canisters made of plastic or eurocubes are fixed with narrow metal strips. To do this, the blanks are bent in the shape of a container and fixed with nails to the roof.

When using a plastic tank, be sure to strengthen its adhesion to the support. In this case, it is more reasonable to tie it to the structure, otherwise an empty barrel with a strong impulse the wind can blow.

Crane installation

Installation of a crane for a metal tank and for a plastic container is carried out in a similar manner. The watering can is attached to a specially provided hole with a threaded connection located at the bottom of the container. A watering can is selected depending on the thread pitch and the diameter of the outlet. A faucet with a watering can can be metal or plastic, while the length of such a device varies. To embed a tap into a closed container, you need the following.

  • Decide on the place where the watering can with a crane will be attached.
  • Then you should drill a hole corresponding to the selected parameters and clean the edges.
  • Degrease the surface.
  • On the inside, screw on the nut with the gasket. For additional bonding under the gasket, coat with sealant.
  • Perform similar actions from the outside.

Types and features of heated shower tanks

Tanks can be:

  • plastic;
  • iron;
  • steel.

Of course, depending on the material, the tanks have their own distinctive features. Plastic tanks are in high demand due to a considerable number of advantages.Such tanks are made of harmless food-grade plastic, which is not subject to corrosion, is light in weight and can withstand temperatures up to minus sixty degrees.

Plastic is good because it can be used to make a tank of almost any shape: round, square or flat. The volume of the plastic tank can be up to 200 liters. They can also be used as portable barrels when transporting. When using plastic tanks, it is recommended to use a special "breathing" cover, which prevents the water from "blooming". Service life at the correct use makes 30 years.

The iron shower tank, although not very attractive, but fully satisfies the needs of customers. The element responsible for heating the water is located inside the tank, so you can adjust the heating of the water to the desired temperature. Iron tanks usually hold from forty to two hundred liters of water. The service life is up to 10 years.

Steel tanks are usually made of galvanized, stainless or carbon steel. These tanks are durable.

Steel tanks are well suited for small spaces, as they have a practical rectangular shape. Also, the advantage of such tanks is that the water in them retains freshness. The volume of such tanks, like iron ones, is up to 200 liters. A steel tank with proper operation will last up to 20 years.

Prices for tanks depend on the material from which the tank is made, on the volume it can hold, on the presence or absence of a thermostat and other factors.

For example, prices for plastic tanks range from 2,500 to 9,000 rubles.

Iron tanks can be purchased for a minimum of 3,500 and a maximum of 12,000. Steel tanks cost approximately 4,500 rubles.

Plastic tank - light, cheap and spacious

Plastic flat tanks for a summer shower are especially loved by summer residents. The reasons for the popularity are easily explained: the material is durable (it can serve 30-50 years), inexpensive, light weight does not cause trouble during installation. The flat shape of the container contributes to the rapid and uniform heating of the water. In addition, the design of the container is such that, in parallel with its intended purpose, it also serves as the roof of the shower cabin. The shower frame is simply assembled and a tank is installed at the top.

For the manufacture of such products, special polyethylene is used (often food grade), resistant to ultraviolet rays, durable and environmentally friendly. This material perfectly retains water, does not allow it to bloom even when it is in the container for a long time. Unlike metal models, such products are not subject to corrosion.

Flat plastic tanks are great as a roof for a summer shower

Plastic tanks without heating are usually designed for 100-200 liters of water. Fill it with buckets or use a pump. Tanks equipped with heating elements are usually produced in the form of round barrels of 50-130 liters, and those having a flat shape - 200 liters.

If you take an ordinary plastic container, then you can “tune” it, as in this video example:

In addition to containers made of solid polyethylene (plastic), there are flat tanks made of elastic polymer fabric.Their versatility is that in addition to the shower, they can be used for drip irrigation or water storage. Such a container is a “pillow” filled with water, with holes for filling and draining it.

There is a special "breathable" cover that prevents water from stagnation if the shower is not used for a long time. The volume of such a tank is from 200 to 350 liters. Interestingly, when folded, it fits into a simple plastic bag, which is very convenient for transportation. The polymer fabric for such tanks keeps its shape well, has high strength, and does not deform when heated.

container material

The durability of your makeshift bathroom directly depends on what material you prefer. The shape of the product in this case plays a secondary role, although based on experience, the most convenient to install and operate are flat shower tanks, the size of which corresponds to the size of the cabin. In addition to their direct purpose, they also serve as a roof.

Metal products

Steel or as it is now commonly called, ferrous metal is deservedly considered a classic. Until recently, he reigned supreme in summer cottages. Such a container will cost relatively inexpensively, but if you take thin steel, for example, a standard barrel, it will quickly rust. And a custom-welded tank with a wall thickness of about 5 mm will be heavy and expensive.

The main problem of steel products is corrosion. Set and forget, it won't work here. Every season, and possibly 2 times a year, you will need to climb up, sand the islands of rust with sandpaper and paint the container both outside and inside.

Welded construction.

There are also containers made of galvanized metal. In principle, this is the same steel, only coated with zinc coating. If they try to convince you that it is reliable, do not believe it.

Of course, such a coating protects the metal from corrosion, but in the open air the service life of such a container will not be much longer than that of a conventional steel tank. In order for it to serve for a long time, it, like steel, will need to be painted.

How to choose a tank for a summer shower: a comparison of different options with each other

Container made of galvanized metal.

Perhaps the best metal in this case is stainless steel. With a wall thickness of just over a millimeter, such a container will have a relatively small weight.

As you know, this metal is practically not subject to corrosion, it does not need annual painting and can easily last at least 20 years. Plus, a stainless steel tank for a country shower with a heater will provide you with water at a comfortable temperature.

But not everything is as beautiful as we would like, there are “pitfalls” here.

How to choose a tank for a summer shower: a comparison of different options with each other

Stainless container with heating elements.

  • The price of stainless steel containers can be several times higher than the cost of ordinary steel. Although here you need to choose, every 5 - 7 years to change the steel tank, constantly painting it or paying for stainless steel and forget about the problem.
  • In the vastness of our great motherland, there is another problem. The high cost of stainless steel makes it very attractive to homeless people. And if your cottage is not guarded, then in the very first winter you have a real opportunity to say goodbye to your stainless steel tank.

plastic containers

Specialized plastic tanks for summer showers have appeared relatively recently.

And having indisputable advantages, they immediately took the leading positions.

How to choose a tank for a summer shower: a comparison of different options with each other

Plastic barrel with an embedded divider.

According to GOST, they are made mainly from food-grade plastics, so that water in such containers can be stored for a long time.

Everyone knows that polymer products are much lighter and cheaper than metal. It will not be difficult for a good owner to bring from the city and install alone, with his own hands, such a tank on a booth.

In terms of durability, polymers outperform even stainless steel. Manufacturers give a guarantee within 30 - 50 years.

As already mentioned, flat containers also serve as a roof for the booth. So, the vast majority of plastic tanks are designed with this requirement in mind.
Such containers are initially cast from dark polymers, so on a sunny day the water in them heats up quickly enough.

But if you don’t want to put metal, but there are no funds for a decent plastic heated tank for a country shower right now, you can do otherwise. Soft tanks made of polymer fabric are produced. Initially, they were developed for the military, but over time they migrated to vegetable gardens and summer cottages.

To put it simply, this is a large pillow with a capacity of 50 to 350 liters, in which valves are installed for draining and pumping water. Thanks to the "breathing" lid, water in such a tank can be stored for an arbitrarily long time.

And what is not unimportant, such a container can be easily rolled up, put in a bag and taken anywhere.

How to heat water in a summer shower in the country

In cool weather, you can water heating for soul in the garden using electrical appliances. Some summer residents install a water heating element in the design of a summer shower, for example, from an electric samovar. It should be noted that one must be very careful when using any electrical heating elements.

Heating of water in a country shower to the desired temperature in a summer shower can be provided without the use of electricity. In specialized stores, it is easy to find wood-burning water heaters of various types that are ideal for heating water. It is enough to put a small amount of firewood, and after 15-20 minutes the water will heat up to a comfortable temperature.

Before heating water in an outdoor shower, for the normal operation of such a boiler, it is necessary to bring it to cold tap water or from any storage container. For this purpose it is recommended to use a 200 l plastic barrel. The storage tank should be placed 20-30 cm above the column. This pressure drop is quite enough to take a warm shower in the country, regardless of the weather.

To heat water in an outdoor shower, it is important to choose the right faucet, since a special mixer is required for columns. A conventional faucet used in urban apartments has two inlets: for hot and cold water. The mixer for the column is distinguished by the presence of only one supply - for cold water

The peculiarity of its device allows you to take hot water from the column and mix it with cold water, which is connected directly to the mixer

Cabin

Grillage

The cabin support frame is most often made of wood; in the conditions of suburban operation, it loses strength more slowly than a thin-walled (1.5-2.5 mm) metal profile. The channel, of course, will last longer, but it will cost more. It is more suitable for welded structures, see above.

How to choose a tank for a summer shower: a comparison of different options with each other

As for wood, a 100x100 or even 60x60 timber is suitable for a light cabin, and 150x150 for capital showers. Wood processing is generally the same as for the floor, only instead of varnishing it is impregnated twice or thrice with heated bituminous mastic. In combination with a water-polymer emulsion, this will provide a durability of at least 12 years; WPE, penetrating deeply into the pores of wood, makes them unsuitable for the germination of mold spores.

How high?

The rise of the grillage above the ground, and the corresponding protrusion of the foundation piles, is calculated as the sum of 200-250 mm for ventilation, plus the depth of the pallet tub, plus the technological height of the siphon and another 50-70 mm of stock. So, for a low pallet, this will be 320-450 mm, i.e. need 2-3 more steps at the entrance.

frame

A wooden shower is assembled, like a gazebo - on load-bearing poles, only the problems of the roof disappear: it either does not exist at all, or it is simply sloping.The frames of the walls are reinforced with diagonal braces, one per side, from a 100x40 board or its own, spread in half lengthwise, i.e. 50x40, and installed flat. The latter option saves material, but takes up space inside the cab.

A professional pipe from 25x25x1.5 to 40x40x2 usually goes to the metal frame. The profile frame is assembled by welding, primed and painted. Thin-walled galvanized profiles are cheaper and easier to assemble - on self-tapping screws - but they do not last long, this material is not intended for outdoor use at all.

The best material for a shower frame is 1/2 polypropylene water pipes? and 3/4?. The assembly scheme is the same as for wood: frame and diagonal. Soldering plastic in this case is not required, it is enough to select standard connectors so that the pipe enters them more tightly, and assemble it on self-tapping screws. In the shower, phosphated (black) ones hold better. Self-tapping screws diameter - 4.2 mm; length - 1-1.5 mm shorter than the outer diameter of the connector, so that the tip does not protrude and scratch.

sheathing

In general, any sheet finishing materials for outdoor use are suitable for sheathing a shower: corrugated board, plastic lining, siding, polycarbonate, the top row in rice; they can be attached to any frame either with standard fasteners, or, if the frame is propylene, with brackets and clamps.

Country showers from different materials

Of all the sheathing materials, polycarbonate stands out. Its main advantage is a self-heating shower made of polycarbonate. Features of the interaction of cellular polycarbonate with sunlight are such that an increased energy density of infrared (thermal, IR) radiation is created inside the cabin. Simply put, a kind of warm cocoon appears, even if the shower is without a roof and with a wide ventilation gap at the bottom.Cellular polycarbonate was originally developed to cover greenhouses and greenhouses.

The shower cabin is sheathed on all sides, cramped, i.e. the area of its glazing is large relative to the volume, and tomatoes are not grown in it in winter. Therefore, the cheapest sheet of the 2R structure with a thickness of 4 mm from the most alternative manufacturer is suitable for shower sheathing. You should not be afraid of peeping: especially for showers, milky, non-translucent, polycarbonate is produced.

The second important factor is that a honeycomb sheet, if it is oriented vertically with internal channels and bent, acquires the properties of a prestressed structure (PNC): high strength and rigidity. That is, a very strong and light round cabin can be made on a frame from just 2 bent from PP pipe hoops, top and bottom. The hoops will also be prestressed and add a lot of overall strength.

Finally, by tightly winding the sheet to the curvilinear template and heating for 20-30 hours to 70-80 degrees, the bend of the sheet can be fixed. This technique is often used by designers; in particular also for original frameless showers, see fig. on right.

The good old wood, pre-treated, as well as for the floor, and even raw, at least in the form of wattle, is also widely used for showers, the bottom row in fig. above. Its advantages are accessibility, ease of processing, and for capital showers under the roof - wood holds heat well. Heat loss through wooden sheathing from a forty board is less than through a half-brick brick.

Installation

Installing the tank does not require any special knowledge and professional skills, but it is worth remembering the elementary safety rules.To install the tank, you must first decide where and how to mount it. The most time-consuming, but the best solution would be to weld a metal frame for mounting the tank.

It is important to take into account the total weight of the water tank, observing safety rules. With regular use of the tank, it is important to remember that it is categorically not worth heating an empty container - always check its fullness before turning on the heater

During the heating of water, you should not draw water from the tank, even just opening it is contraindicated. Do not add other liquids there, this can lead to failure of the device or even to an explosion. The outlet must be equipped with an earthing system for safety reasons.

To mount the heater you have selected, drill a hole with a diameter corresponding to the thread of the device. Then, rubber or other gaskets are installed on both sides, after which the nut holding the product on the wall is tightened from the inside of the tank with a wrench.
